Honestly until using it I would listen to anyones comments. I have an iPhone and followed all the hype of the Dare when it was coming out and it sucked. If you are worried I would switch back to what you had and wait to use the new touchscreen Blackberry (whatever they finally decide to name it) and go from there. Most people that brag up other touchscreen phones purely hate the iPhone hype and Apple brand and have never had the pleasure of using it. Take your first-hand experience and forget what others say cause hardly any have used both to give you an honest reccomendation.

Anyone who thinks the Dare is better then an iPhone never used an iPhone. I know AT&T's network isn't the greatest, and for this reason I switched from AT&T with an iPhone to VZW to get the Dare. I've never been more disapointed in my life!!! The Dare is worthless, maybe you losers who've never had a full touch screen phone think it's awesome, but when you go to an iPhone you will quickly realize it's not. I could care less what carrier I'm with, I want a phone that works, and the Dare sucked, PERIOD. I have a local GSM carrier and unlocked the iPhone and went to them and couldn't be happier.

Yea I hear ya. That's why I switched cause I know VZW has a more solid network (at least in my area) but the phone just didn't do it for me. I was gonna wait till the new Blackberry came out but couldn't take it anymore.

In Detroit area and my phone isn't receiving calls. All at&t friends are experience the same problems. I have a sony ericsson w600i and I don't even have a data plan and it's not even a 3g phone.

Everyone knows that AT&T stands for: Always Technical Trouble. I must also say that I love the interface and everything about my I-phone, but at&t's service is shockingly terrible. This said I carry around my I-phone for my data toy and my verizon phone for phone calls. I know it sucks carrying around 2 phones, but whats a business guy to do. The dare phone is a pretty good phone but it's not the I-phone.

Sprint phones last alot longer than any other. I work for att there phones dont last. 4 phones on my account Moto razr v3m had it for 10 months no problems samsung upstage 10 months no problems samsung m-520 7 months no problems and a samsung m-300 for 7 months and no problems. Go to sprint for quality phones and roam on Verizon. Thats what i do and it works for me no extra charges for roaming. Everyone is happy.

idk About u guys but over here in la verizon is the best and yes I had AT&T and wuz so disappointed at&t sukz big time. I traveled to utha chicago new York vegas rhode island Texas Fresno Oregon and miami and Florida and in all those places verizon worked better than AT&T and yes I got. My facts right AT&T sucks I had a motorola razr 2 and even when it displAyed 3g and full reception I would. Still get dropped calls and I would get staticky calls. And don't say it was my phone cause at first I thought it was but then I switched it to an lg vu and then iPhone 3g and was still experiencing the same results then after 3 phones I just cancelled AT&T. And I went with verizon and got an lg dare and I know the touchscreen is not that good but I traveled to all those places I mentioned above and never had any dropped calls and had exelent service. So yea AT&T sucks n don't say it doesn't cause I had it verizon is sooooooooooooooooo much better

Problem has been fixed as of an hour ago 9/23/08 -12:30p.m.) in mid-Atlanta, GA. Phone service is now functional--don't know about DSL, though. Outage lasted at least 24 hours.
