U.S. Cellular stops selling the Galaxy Note 7 too

Since all four major carriers in the United States have already announced they will not sell the Galaxy Note 7 until further notice, it makes perfect sense for a fifth, U.S. Cellular to follow the pack.

In an official statement, U.S. Cellular confirmed that it will no longer offer the Galaxy Note 7 to its customers. On top of that, consumers who already own a replacement or the older version with faulty battery can now exchange them for any other device at the carrier's stores.

AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile have taken the same precautions last week and are now waiting for Samsung to complete its investigation on exploding replacement Galaxy Note 7 phones that we told you about in our previous reports.

In the meantime, the South Korean company issued an official statement warning consumers who own the Galaxy Note 7 to power it down and stop using it. If you're one of the many Galaxy Note 7 owners, the next steps you should follow is either exchange it for a different smartphone or simply ask for a refund.

This is a temporary solution until Samsung either issues a second Galaxy Note 7 global recall or provides a third replacement to those who remain loyal (is that even possible?).
