U.S. Cellular customers can now pre-order the Motorola Moto X for $199.99 with a signed two-year contract; those coming to U.S. Cellular for the first time can also receive a $75 "Switcher Bonus" bringing the price down to $124.99. The 16GB phone is $699.99 off-contract. And wait, there's more. Those pre-ordering the Moto X will receive a Motorola Boom Bluetooth headset for free. That is a $59.99 value...

No Motomake = No Moto X. Bring it to the rest of the carriers soon or else your sales numbers won't look good!

That's really a bad pricing strategy for the phone with mid range specifications. After the hype created that big, i hope the price may not be one of the reasons of its fail.

My guess, is because it's made in USA. You know, in China you can underpay them and yet make them work longer. /s
But, it still doesnt justify the price, and no, 1020 isn't $700, only $650.
