Despite speculation about a name change, U.K. online phone retailer Handtec has already put the Google Nexus Prime up on its web site, revealing a sleek looking device with a metallic bezel and an edge to edge 4.6 inch screen; no pricing or launch date is revealed as the phone is listed as "coming soon"...

Neither can I give you a brain, son. Or spelling lessons for that matter.
Anyway - it might be fake - it might be real - but it sure as hell looks good!

Its probably securing a pre-order.
There has been no official announcment.
Latest I heard was Google/Samsung/Motorola doing an event on Oct 1st. or later.

Looks sweet! But a little concerned why it'd have a 5mp camera? Such a high end phone i would think it would have 12mp, simply for bragging rights if anything.

the old rumor was that it was going to be a new design for a mobile camera. better sensors. more mp doesnt mean better shots. just the rumor though.

Don't worry about the megapixels.
I rather use a lower megapixel camera with a larger apature and larger lens than a higher megapixel camera with a smaller apature and smaller lens.

Do want :)

buy it!!! ITS $0.00!!! BUY IT!!! lol. It sees too standard of a spec sheet. Other than the large screen and the 1mp front face camera, there's nothing greatly speacial about. Besides the 4.0 ICS, i just dont think its a pick up just quite yet exept for having it first for early adopters. maybe later...

Can you technically "buy" something that's free?
13. Man2006 (unregistered)
The 5MP camera is actually disappointing, I was looking forward to a 8MP or higher.

What's disappointing is that people still think megapixel count matters. The 5MP camera was rumored a long time ago, but was rumored to have amazing image quality. You CANNOT cram 8MP onto a tiny sensor and expect good image quality. However, throw 5MP on a quality sensor, and you'll finally have a solid point-and-shoot replacement. I just wish they would start using xenon flashes.

I hate how both phones I want to get have draw backs
Prime: 5mp camera and 1mp frontal camera :(
Bionic: 4.3inch screen, vga frontal camera, 1gb dual :(
why cant the manufactures can it right?
Prime should have: 12mp camera 2mp frontal Bionic: 4.5inch screen 1.5 dual 2mp frontal

Unless you plan on blowing your pics up much bigger than 8x10 then a 12mp camera won't do much more for you than a 5mp camera will.

all of my pics get uploaded to my 18" monitor and play on a slide show. So I would need higher Mega pixel
49. remixfa (Posts: 14255; Member since: 19 Dec 2008)
no, you need higher clarity. higher mpx doesnt always mean its a higher quality picture. Reserve judgement until the phone is released because its supposed to be a new type of phone camera that is much better quality. Hopefully, thats true.

Even if you have an HD screen 1920x1080 thats about 2 megapixels on your screen. So why do you need more then 5mp? Let me help you. You dont. Moron
27. bobnnate (Posts: 25; Member since: 28 Aug 2011)
the primes camera only says 5mp but apparently it has extraordinarily high tech sensors that let it shoot up to 20mp. its been reported over a ton of places so its a good lead i guess. dont be too down on the fact it says 5mp cuz i just highly doubt tht with this things specs so far, anything less than incredible and top notch is untrue

you know the difference between VGA and 2.0MP isn't really so great.
