Twitter rolling out conversations UI, despite the fact that conversations are awful in 140 characters

Twitter has quite a few really good uses, but in our opinion, having a conversation on the platform is definitely not one of them. With the abundance of ways to communicate like email, SMS, WhatsApp, etc. or social network options like Facebook and Google+, the idea of having a conversation that is limited to 140 characters (minus the @reply of course) seems ridiculous to us. But, people do it, and for those people, Twitter is rolling out a new conversations UI...

Add more characters then it might be interesting but the niche they have works for them I guess.

It does seem a fair bit snappier now.

I am glad they have done this actually. And I regularly use Twitter for "conversations".
