Twitter app for Android tablets leaks out

Twitter for Android tablets has leaked

At last week's IFA show in Berlin, a tablet-optimized Twitter app was seen on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. Those who have seen the app say that it is similar to the Twitter app for the Apple iPad that was released last year. The APK is available thanks to a German site, but those who have tested it out say not to bother as the installer package is not working smoothly.

For those who have been complaining that Android tablets aren't getting all of the apps that they should, this is an encouraging sign. Hopefully for those totin' an Android tablet, we will see this optimized version of the social messaging site soon hit the Google Play Store.

I never acknowledge that the Facebook and Twitter apps are poorly optimized on my Nexus 10 unless somebody mentions it, it just doesn't bother me that much. I'm still looking forward to this, though.

Truth be told when the Nexus 10 was introduced, Google should have been pushing developers for HD apps.

Kinda funny to call an app HD when referring to tablet apps since Android has 1080p phones (GS4 and HTC One to name a few).
