The Transparent Screen app sets a degree of transparency to whatever you are doing on your phone's screen, with the live background being whatever is in your camera lens field of view...

Tested, and the phone heated up a lot, battery went from full charge to 50% in an hour.

Pretty cool but yea, too ahead of its time. Hardware should catch up soon.

the hardware is there. I think they were talking about single core crapdragons and below lagging. Id be surprised if an Sgs2 or anything with an OMAP lagged much.

I don't find this application useful in real world

not useful? in some states it is illegal to text while driving, now you eyes dont leave the road and makes it that much safer.

Please do not drive if this is a good idea to you...

Please dont drive if you cant do something as simple as text and drive yourself. im just saying this lessens some of the danger because your eyes arent completely off the road.

Is that seriously going to be your argument when you get pulled over for texting? "My eyes didn't leave the road."?
No. The focus of the driver isn't on the road in the first place, they won't notice what's on the road regardless.
The best available solution right now is to wait until you get to a stop and do what you have to do. Anything else isn't going to work well.

Thank you p0rkguy for having logic. Astreo, using an app like this to justify an illegal action such as texting and driving, one that can kill yourself and others, is just silly. Like p0rkguy said, the only surefire way to stop from having accidents due to texting and driving, is abstinence. Or um, well, yeah..
