It rarely happens, but both T-Mobile and LG have press events scheduled for the same time on the same day Wednesday; the LG Viper is being introduced as a device to improve your parenting skills while the HTC One S event kicks off T-Mobile's image change with a leather-clad Carly riding a motorcycle...

Sounds pretty easy to me. The HTC One S, pretty much better in every way. LG needs to stick to feature phones. If you want Android it comes down to Samsung or HTC.

No offense but how do the phones even compete? The LG Viper has worse specs in almost every way and caters to a different level. Also both phones are on competing networks.

The Viper is a joke compared to the One S. I wish Sprint was getting both the One S and One X (Evo LTE). Who buy a LG with 2.3? You will never see an ICS update and LG smartphones flat out suck. I wouldn't dare buy a new phone in this day and age that wasn't launching with ICS plain and simple. So I don't know what makes this decision tough. This article was a waste. That's just me though.

hey you guys are always hard on lg the viper is a mid ranger and you guys are comparing it to one s.
How about comparing samsung galaxy pocket with the viper 4g.
Check lg's upcoming phones and you can see that they are releasing better phones than other oem's. Phonearena i think you should do an article on this. I hate it when people bash lg for no reason.

We didn't compare it to the One S, PA did. We said there is no comparison. The One S blows this away.

im seriously sick of all the hate comments people are giving LG. LG is a great manufacturer but all they need to do right now is to get their s**t together. also, lets not forget, compared to the likes of Samsung and HTC, LG is relatively new to the smartphone game and they obviously need time to sort things out. i had an Optimus 3D and it was a magnificent phone. it performed on par with the S2 many of my friends were using, and i expected it to be slower considering the S2 has more RAM and a better processor. you ppl need to give LG a chance
i bet my comment will get quite a number dislikes, even though what i said is true. it is always the case on this site

Give LG credit where its due. LG is a company of many firsts. First with dual core, first with glasses-less 3D, first with quad core (although not firsto sell). LG needs time like I've said, they are new to the smartphone game. Where they are now, was exactly where Samsung answer HTC once were. One day, LG is going to be in the top again and u will see that what I said is true.

I've said it many times....this site is so pro Samsung it makes me sick!!!! Would love to see some people try some of the new LG devices and see what they think. Just because it looks bad on paper does not make it so. I have the LG Lucid, which is Verizon's version for the Viper and I love it!! 18-21 hrs of battery life, great screen, and great processor. They might be mid-tier, but the Lucid is by far my favorite Android device ever!!! All I can say is.....SCREW SAMSUNG!!!!

i wouldnt say Samsung sucks. both LG and Samsung are awesome manufacturers and both have their strengths and weaknesses. in fact all manufacturers are good. it really is a matter of personal prefence, if u prefer one brand over the other, it is up to you..
but even then, i think saying that another manufacturer is inferior to the other is just distasteful. everyone has their right to their own opinions but NO ONE should hate on something just bcos they dont like it.
and to all LG/Samsung haters/fanboys, LG and Samsung are known to help each other out in business (like sharing tech and etc.), so please stop bashing each other

Agreed. People need to stop hating. By the way.... you realize that it is the carriers that decide what handsets they want on their line up right?!? It's not like LG doesn't want to make high end handset, and it's not like they haven't. They made the first 3D phone (Optimus 3D over seas was released before the Evo 3D) and the first dual core phone!

yes i do. lucky for me, im not living in the states, in my country all the carriers get the phones unless one signs for and exclusivity deal..
i am a staunch supporter of both LG and Samsung, i love all their devices and i continue to believe in them. my android was a HTC, than i got the Optimus 2x as a gift, and i LOVED it. so when my contract was over, i got an Optimus 3D. and i LOVE it too! now, im using a Galaxy Note (my first Samsung Android device) and i love it also! both LG and Samsung are VERY CAPABLE manufacturers and people NEED TO STOP hating on them
