sorry for the rain on the party but... why do we need a higher density that the one the human EYE can see? I mean "retina display" should be the top a company should go to improve sharpness, companies should be working on better power management or other stuff....

agreed... and idk why this is so "breakthrough" when it is the same ppi as the retina display... it is just slightly bigger...

a wise guy told said once when asked why his company was not interested on getting a res above 400ppi to beat apples and his answer was plain simple:
''Is tis going to really benefit the customer having something they cant appreciate with naked scenes, not so long ago someone invented the dvd audio with a quality thats so good the human ear cant perceive any defects on it, yet the protect failed because the files where big and the proses was more costly, and the real benefit? none same things could apply to screens apple did a great job by not only making the Highness res on a smartphone but setting a limit, a line no one should try to cross above because there is nothing to it. better work on other tings like battery management and overall life of the screen''
I couldn't agree any better

I have searched and searched for a reason why we don have it just to cut bragging rights, all I found is that there are solutions (something related with copyright) but companies don't feel like using them because they are focusing on other stuff
