Toshiba TG02 and TG03 - say cheese for the camera...
Earlier this February, we told you about Toshiba's introduction of the TG01 cellphone. With a 4.1 inch screen and a chipset featuring fast, 1 GHz. Snapdragon processor, the TG01 looks like a legitimate challenger in the touchscreen sweepstakes and should debut this summer in Germany on O2, just as we reported. About two weeks ago, we wrote about other models that Toshiba planned to offer, including the TG02 and TG03. These handsets have been finally taken snaps of. Aside from the photos, we have some bits of information on both models, confirming the previous rumors.

The TG02 is expected to ship at the end of this year and is equipped with a 4.1 inch screen, a 3.2MP camera and will be powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon chip. The device will feature the Windows Mobile 6.5 OS. If it sounds all too familiar, it is because the TG02 is basically the same phone as the TG01, with the important difference being the TG02 is waterproof.

The TG03 also features the 4.1 inch display and the 1GHz Snapdragon processor. But unlike the other two units, this handset has speakers with 5.1 channel audio and a 5MP camera. No word yet on pricing or carrier availability.

Is there any word on whether or not Toshiba is going to release any of these with a CDMA equivalent? I remember reading that the chipset was very similar to a CDMA substitute. Stupid VZW LTE won't be out for at least a year, until VZW gets the joy of lagging behind the cool phone market. ** Here's hoping I get that job in Ireland!
