Time Warner app brings live TV to the iPhone and iPad
Share:
You won’t be able to watch your Warner Cable content anywhere – for now you will need to be on your home WiFi network in order to see it. And for the time being Android users are out of luck. But for those who own a 3GS iPhone or newer, a 3rd generation iPod Touch (or better) or an iPad you’re in luck; you can now watch the latest episode of Real House Wives on your phone while keeping up with your chores around the house.
Time Warner is actually a bit late to the party – Comcast, Cablevision, and Verizon FiOS customers have been able to take advantage of content on mobile devices for a while. As these services - and mobile devices - become more ubiquitous, consumers will start to choose content suppliers based on what services they offer to mobile users. At that point TV on mobile will start to become truly mainstream.

How about BLAH, we don't care about more mobile TV until cell carriers stop gouging us on data plans and stops tiering and throttling us to death?? How about we are not interested in high speed wallet robbers

Time Warner cable has had this app for the iPad for quite some time now I. I have had it since march of last year. And you guys have written an article on it already, so you guys can't say that twc is late to the game when I'm pretty sure they were the first to release a live streaming cable app.

Time Warner's app only works on Apple devices, and it leaves you limited to what mobile devices you can watch their service on. DISH Networks TV everywhere allows their customers to get both live TV and DVR content on Smartphone’s, Tablets, Laptops, Blackberry's, and iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touch! I work for DISH and I own a sling adapter and I can tell you that DISH Network gives you access to all of your same channels that you get at home. Customers can download DISH's Dish Remote Access app that will allow you to have full DVR functions using this app. If you’re looking for a TV provider to give you the most for your money and TV on the go, then DISH Network is the way to go.
