Apple's Chief Executive Officer, Tim Cook, is on a visit to China - the company's second biggest market currently. During his visitation, the executive will be looking into a number of problems related to Apple's operations there, from a recent dispute over the iPad trademark, to the notorious work conditions at Foxconn - the company that's in charge of assembling iPhones and iPads...

He should try the anti suicide netting systems in foxconn factories for himself and see are they efficient enough. After all if apple up their game in chinas markets than the foxconn death factories Will be switched to overload

You don't think that other companies aren't using the benefits of cheap labor, do you?

Of course they are but not to the extent of mass suicides which occur at the apple factories.

foxcon workers that make the ipad get paid about 0.60 cents an hour. Foxconn workers that make the xbox get paid about 1.50 an hour. working conditions at all foxconn factories suck. Apple has the magic combination of lowest wages of the group, longest forced working hours, and exploding factories because they dont have ANY ventilation.

Tim Cook was in charge of setting up the supply chain. He is RESPONSIBLE for foxconn. Unless he is bowing to extreme pressure (which i doubt) the situation at foxconn will not change much.

@Remixfa, is it 0.60 cents per hour as you stated, or 0.60 dollars, as in 60 cents? Just clarifying, I know you're the king of stats/facts

Tim Cook visits China to sort a number of problems out. I love this title. Just as he gets there a girl in China won a $10k iTunes Shopping Spree. Apple paid it off and now everything is right in the world. Apple's brainwashing techniques continue. During Tim's trip and the cost, the workers at Foxconn lost .10 an hour in their wages. Good Job Tim Cook. I think you'll do better as a chef.

I don't think stopping by is going to help. the moment the CEO leaves FOXCONN rush people into doing over time while more of these innocent workers kill themselves making these apple products

LOL! That's true. I think as soon as the Chef leaves they break out the whips and chains and yelling "get those iPads made". Well, they'll say it in chinese, but you get the point.
