Apple's CEO Tim Cook decided to take the plane and do what he does best, i.e. talk logistics with the Chinese carriers and straighten up the supply chain. Apple is still not selling the iPhone 4S and the new iPad in its stores after an inventory kerfuffle angered the hundreds waiting in vain outside, who started egging the premises...

Stop giving us the fake happy pictures and please someone sneak in there with hidden camera and report the real deal.

the actual working conditions that have been reported on so many times.

this is another PR move by Cook to try to quell the growing discontent about the way Apple makes its products and the horrid working conditions at the plants.

If he was interested in making real changes, there would be less "happy worker" pictures, and more speeches... or actions.. to rally change for the chinese slave workforce.

I can imagine the whole behind the scenes pictures and video where they act happy for the picture but after wards it's like spitting out a crappy burger and Tim needs to wash the taste out of his mouth with a cig and a few cuss words. And then the employee's go back to the ol (my life sucks) way.

That one worker is looking at the other worker and saying "you better smile or i'll work you to death" Tim Cook better look happy or they will all lose .50 cents in wages and no rations for a month.

Tim Cook arrives, the supervisor gives a quick speech to the factory workers about making sure they're smiling during his visit or there will be some severe consequences. I agree with jaytai0106. Someone needs to sneak in there with a camera and video what's "really" going on there. I'm sure Tim Cook's visit was no surprise and they knew when he was arriving, so they were prepared.

That first picture of Tim Cook holding his hand up he's saying "that better be an Apple phone you're taking my picture with" Then whispers to the worker on his left saying "Do you have everyone smiling?" The worker says "yes, I do". Tim says "they better be, this better look good. I'm tired of hearing about this factory."

The woman photobombing the middle of the lower picture is like, "Who ARE these people?" It's probably the first time any of them have stepped off the golf course to even walk through the place...

I don't think APPLE even cares or knows every time they visit FOXXCONN it's like they show them around and saying everything is ok. when they leave China FOXXCON make the poor workers work too damn hard and working overtime. N still hire underage civilians. I think Apple should stop making things in CHINA and bring jobs back here to the STATES.
