Tim Cook said 'No' to suing Samsung but Steve Jobs said 'Yes'

0. phoneArena 10 Feb 2013, 12:15 posted on

According to unnamed sources, Tim Cook was against suing Samsung but was overruled by Steve Jobs who was the CEO and outranked Cook; the current CEO was concerned about Apple suing its Korean rival because of the relationship between the two companies where Apple depends on Samsung for parts for the Apple iPhone and Apple iPad...

Don't know too much about them, but knowing me I'll be trying them. I'm a sucker for tech. As far as big screen envy, I have a note 2 and I love the screen size, but not the feel of the phone. I love my iPhones feel, but not the size of the screen. What to do lol.

Have a WP8 for my work phone (Nokia Lumia 822). As far as the software performs its actually pretty smooth. Doesn't lag much and the touch response is very responsive. Camera is decent & so is battery life. BUT w/that said...the software as a whole seems to be undercooked. The type of available apps aren't up to par w/Android or iOS, small refinements like being able to change the wallpaper don't exist (only on the lock screen), & the browser doesn't do the greatest job at rendering web pages. I wouldn't say the software is bad...it's just "different". At this point it's just too new to give it a fair rating. Hopefully Blackberry doesn't come off the same way...

I also had a bad experience with WinMo. I tried the HD2, and man after about 6 hrs that phone, and I were broken up lol.

Oh sure. Cook said no to suing Samsung. Of course. It's just that it's complete BS because all the lawsuits happened long after Steve was dead.

DJ, I don't know if you've got an ex-girlfriend on PA or what, but you've got yourself a really persistent stalker here dude. You could say "I like babies" and your stalker is gonna thumb you down. What's the deal?

Whateverman: I wish I knew bro, I speak my mind but I'm not a basher, or disrespectful person. I think it's that I'm primarily an apple user who also loves android. Due to the fact I refuse to join the in crowd and hate on apple I get the red treatment. It's all good though. I'm a techie, not a fanboy of either camp, and some don't like that.

Thanks bro, I just see no reason to hate on, insult, threaten, and disrespect people cause they choose this and I choose that. If your issue is with apple, then why hate on some one that uses an iPhone? Head up to apple HQ, and deal with them directly ya know.

The reason people hate on others on here is they usually post some stupid junk about this company or that company is basically God to them, which is foolish at the least. Whatever OS you prefer, do not come like it is perfect for everyone. There is no such thing as "perfect for everyone", yet too many people espouse their opinion as if it is fact. That is why some people get the hate, and sometimes, honestly, it is deserved, imo.

Team android, and team iOS need to understand this. That's one of the reasons I use both, both great both imperfect.

I heartily agree with you. Just yesterday someone commented that they loved anything a company did, and that company was their life. If that's your life, it's a sad one.

We should define our stuff, not be defined by them.

The board would vote Cook out if he decided to not sue Samsung. So it's just like Apple to continue with what they already know than to bring change. I mean look at the OS. It's the same as when it was launched.

The lawsuit is the best advertisement Samsung ever received, sales jumped on the $1B news and Sammy may not have to pay that while advertisement value of those weeks in the media is worthy of $10B at least.
