Three year old Nokia 5700 now seen running the BlackBerry OS?
Call it three years in the making because someone must’ve had plenty of time figuring out a way to get the BlackBerry OS loaded on a Nokia 5700. The XpressMusic S60 3rd edition powered multimedia phone shed its normal platform in favor of BlackBerry OS 4.6.0.305 – which is normally found running on the BlackBerry Pearl 8220. Some Chinese user or developer seemingly picked apart RIM’s platform to load on the Nokia 5700. Although you can visually see some of the proof that the photos provide, we hope, it’s left unclear whether or not if it is fully functional – it’d be somewhat pointless to get to this point and not be able to make a simple phone call. Maybe with some additional time there will be some tweaks made in getting this running up to speed – if not, we’d say it’s one project that too much time was wasted on. Instead, it could’ve been spent on getting yet another platform to load on the Nokia N900.
