This Samsung Galaxy F (S5 Premium) concept looks almost real

A premium version of Samsung's Galaxy S5 could be announced in May - at least according to rumors. It should have a metal body, just like this new Galaxy F concept...

It's just other way around. 5C and Lumias are high quality plastic, Galaxies have low quality. Well all have polycarbonate, but the finish is more premium in 5C and Lumias.

How is the glossy finish on a 5c more premium?

Your eyes are tuned to only see Sammy products so you can't really know. Sorry.

You have no idea how stupid you sound saying this crap. No one should ever take you seriously on this site.

Your eyes are turned to only iFruit product so you cant really know a diamond look tht actually a s#it. :D

Yyyyeah. Except I hate Apple and I would NEVER buy their products. Especially iPhones. They suck. But at least they have a premium design.
71. Astoni (Posts: 649; Member since: 28 Sep 2013)
I don't really get this.. People complain about the design to be very similar, so what?. Look at apple, they've used same design since iphone 4. Same goes for Sony.. and nobody complains on sony, not even when they make sh*t phones (z2 is a nice, z1 is okay).
i'm not saying that its wrong with the designs or buildquality here but its the same.. and nobody even cares cause fanboyish is way to common
Also how "low" quality the polycarbonite on the samsung phones are.. when i used my s3 the "low" quality plastic saved my screen from being cracked more than once.. thanks to the Backside shooting off and removing all the pressure on the phone. If i would drop the darn lumia on the side it would break even with its sturdy build. If you want to talk high quality plastic go to HTC one X..
Also side note: Apples iphone might be premium in the feel but its the least premium metallic phone i know, it f*cking bends in the pocket.
I'm no hater on anybrand, They all have something they are really bad and really good at, But if i could change something on anybrand it would be samsungs Plastic rings.. ever seen a dropped note 3? its horrible.

The reason why people only complain about Samsung keeping their design is that their design wasn't beautiful to begin with. So they should radically change it to get on par with some other manufacturers. And by the way I have see TONS and TONS of complains about Sony and Apple keeping their design.
And when that back cover bounces off, it doesn't really help. Or if it helps then the phone itself must be even lower quality than I think. Lumias are known to be the most durable phones out there (among the standard non rugged flagships). They have survived unbelievable big drops and throws.
And yes I know iPhones can bend. That's the case with any metal frame phone. But it won't happen if you take care of your phone. Any phone will crack or something if you keep it in your back pocket and sit on it the wrong way.

Beauty= Eye of the beholder, humble opinion, to each their own, same rectangle and rounded corners as the rest, 85% are in a case anyway. It's a rectangle. Please tell us what radical change you would make.
74. ArtSim98 (Posts: 3535; Member since: 21 Dec 2012)
Oh and by the way Sony has has had it's design the least time. Only for one year. Same goes for HTC. And I may have said it a bit hard way earlier, but I didn't mean Samsungs polycarbonate is not as durable. It just doesn't look and feel so good, which gives (at least me) a little sad feeling when using a phone. 700 euros is a lot of money and I also want the device to feel expensive if it is.
84. Astoni (Posts: 649; Member since: 28 Sep 2013)
Valid points :p.
Just pointing out that it actullay helps with the backside shooting out of the phone, it removes some pressure. (it really does) but its also true that the older backsides felt very cheap and i actually think samsung should have kept the fake leather cause it felt good, but as i said before with a metallic ring cause the sh*tty plastic ring is annoying as f*ck if it gets damaged
85. ArtSim98 (Posts: 3535; Member since: 21 Dec 2012)
Yeah well it certainly does take the pressure to itself. After all design goes mainly to personal preference :)
23. pwnarena (Posts: 1129; Member since: 15 Feb 2013)
good looking design but not ergonomic. come on. how do you press those buttons on the sloping sides? they'd be very difficult to handle.
25. livyatan (Posts: 867; Member since: 19 Jun 2013)
This is seriously awesome.
Samsung, hire this guy!
26. bugsbunny00 (Posts: 2062; Member since: 07 Jun 2013)
a little better than the band aid one this looks kind a premium with a dedicated cam shutter.
33. twens (Posts: 978; Member since: 25 Feb 2012)
One word, AMAZING. like the design on the front. The back I can get used to. Totally different from the normal smartphone back designs.
35. Caukerzee (Posts: 36; Member since: 02 Jul 2013)
You know the funny thing? Most of these kids screaming touchwiz is crap have never laid their hands on a samsung phone before.

Look like the back of a Nokia 5310
94. Astoni (Posts: 649; Member since: 28 Sep 2013)
haha , how old is that? cause it kinda looks like a mix of the conecpt and an s4 xD

I think the people who claim that TouchWiz is the worst have either never bothered to buy an S5 or can't afford it. Just because you use a phone from another manufacturer doesn't mean you have to get defensive whenever another phone apart from yours is praised. With all those features packed into the S5 to increase functionality, somebody goes ahead and says "Too bad it's plastic". So lets say they make it with an aluminium body, the price goes up and the device becomes a bit heavier and you got something new to complain about. No one is forcing anyone to buy it. I had an LG Optimus G and it didn't last long plus the LG Customer Service was so pathetic I wanted to cry. But that doesn't mean I'm gonna go all over the internet looking for posts about LG just so that I can post a comment calling their phones crap. It would be better if you post something worth reading or even ask a question because at the end of the day, whatever company you troll about just gets more money by the second and your life won't get any better.
And now let the floodgates be released.....
51. romeo1 (Posts: 718; Member since: 06 Jan 2012)
I think you are right and wrong at the same time.
Ofcourse some people are just trolling the web but some just tell their experiences.
For example i never read the lag in de s3/4 note 2/3 on reviews but i noticed it when i was using them first hand. In some of the comments you can see there are more people noticing this.
I for one don't like the touch wizz ui cause its a bit childish for my taste.
But i wont talk about the new touch wizz cause i didn't got it in my hands
I will always buy the phone i like the most cause today every phone is fast but it only depends on what you prefer. Some make their choice on materials, design or hardware etc.
101. ecmedic4 (Posts: 335; Member since: 02 May 2013)
Um, while i agree with most of your comment about ppl simply trolling on companies, it is very pointless and even immature. But anyway, you might wanna consider that no one has bought the S5 yet because it hasn't been released. I think you meant the ppl that claim touchwiz is the worst have never bothered to buy a samsung smartphone. Ive tried the S3, S4, and Note 3 in the past, and while i didn't mind touchwiz too much, i always ended up going back to the iPhone, simply as a personal preference, there were somethings i liked better and were used to on the iPhone. Out of those i used, the Note 3 was the closest one that would have made me switch to Android. Infact, i don't think it was touchwiz so much as the reason i went back to the iPhone as it was Android itself and just the features that *I* found to be superior/liked better on the iPhone, not to mention the ecosystem. Not that Android is bad, its simply my preference is iOS/iphone at this time. I don't hate any phone, or OS, i just have a preference and use what suits my needs the best. I personally think hating/trolling to no end on a product you don't even have to use is retarded. Just use what you like best and let others choose what they like best, not try to force your own opinion of whats best on everyone else.

I don't mind the back of regular s5 was terrible... Its that SAME front on every SS that I truly hate.
63. SamDroid (unregistered)
But most phones keep their design like the iPhone, LG to name a few
64. papss (unregistered)
Yes but most mfg's don't have 5 million variants. They have over saturated their design.
66. iLoveAmexica (Posts: 47; Member since: 18 Dec 2013)
samsung just knows how much people love the letter F
68. networkdood (Posts: 6330; Member since: 31 Mar 2010)
People are easily fooled into thinking that metal = premium ...
76. papss (unregistered)
Agree 100%❕ I'm more than fine with polycarbonate as long as its done tifht
95. Astoni (Posts: 649; Member since: 28 Sep 2013)
Steel = premium
Aluminium/aluminum = normal i guess?. I don't really find it a premium material cause it's able to bend a scratches is easily seend, but its much preferd over some types of plastic e.x some glossy sh*t (not hating on sammy)
But steel, i won't really mind if the phone is 200g max, i could easily go for a steel ring aroind any phone.
Also the Hard polycarbonite used by HTC one X is by far the best IMO and nokias is okay to :p.
82. iLoveAmexica (Posts: 47; Member since: 18 Dec 2013)
now I understand why all flagships were either X or Z.
86. 1ceTr0n (Posts: 549; Member since: 20 May 2012)
Watch as this bad boy commands a $800 price point, that will REALLY piss people off Samsung.
87. ArtZGraphic (Posts: 16; Member since: 04 Sep 2013)
really i never think samsung will make a real premium design, although it's premium, the design doesnt match with its material. samsung has to make a better look design, not just a premium material. maybe they have to learn from Nokia with its plastic polycarbonate and still looks more premium and elegant than this galaxy F. nokia always give their best build quality from low to high end phone.
89. scsa852k (Posts: 329; Member since: 16 Oct 2012)
So, S5 is Sammy's flagship, and it's not their best phone?
That makes a lot of freakin' sense.
90. ArtZGraphic (Posts: 16; Member since: 04 Sep 2013)
samsung have made a wrong step with their S5, and now they have known that so they would make a better flagship. but im not sure that they will be success with Galaxy F*ck. LOL
96. ameran (Posts: 283; Member since: 04 Dec 2013)
I hope it isn't real because it looks ugly.
97. fzacek (Posts: 2486; Member since: 26 Jan 2014)
I really hope they don't make this. It's the stupidest idea to make two versions of a flagship.
98. darkkjedii (Posts: 21320; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
God I hope that's not it. Looks worse than the band- aid back.
99. 7che1004 (Posts: 1; Member since: 09 Mar 2014)
Calm down guys this is a concept design and that Ivo dude probably doesn't even work for Samsung he just designed a concept jeez.
As for the people complaining about the metal and plastic designs, here's what I'll say. I really think you shouldn't give a s**t. If you really need to be secure about dropping your phone, I think you have the phone in the wrong pocket/purse, or you're just in need of some physical coordination help. Plus, aluminum seriously isn't even that good I mean c'mon, it's like the lightest and weakest metal there is. I would be impressed if it was made of titanium alloy. Not only that, did you know that metal slips from your hand? Yeah, surprise surprise. I held my friend's dad's iPhone once and it slipped right out of my hands. I was so scared I might have scratched it, that man is huge.
Now, for the weight. You guys are real pussies. I you really need a phone that's as light as a sheet of paper? 1 kilogram isn't even that heavy yet you all need a phone that's like 1/10 of that. Seriously? Get some muscles, because studies show that the human race is gradually getting weaker as a whole because of things like this. Get a kilo phone, and do like 10 reps before bed every day. The amount of stronger people would f ing explode even from that.
As for touch wiz, I don't think the childish stuff is terrible, but the lag is pretty significant. That said, I use Samsung and Apple products (uh oh I feel like someone's gonna try to come murder me because of this lol), and I really can live with touch wiz. I seriously think the people who are bothered by it to the extreme need to grow up and just root the damn thing or maybe not buy Samsung products. That said, apple's ois is also bad, but I can live thru it. It has almost no features whatsoever except text size, inverted colors, and the rest of the minimal features. But it is survivable and nothing to go "IT f**kING SUCKS" about. And now I shall proceed to sit back and relax and see who is gonna bitch at me. This phone crap is almost getting as stupid as child abuse. You can't flick a kid for stealing or peeping or being rude without getting bitched about child abuse anymore. How the f**k do you discipline kids then? A study was even shown that kids who are constantly praised end up not giving a s**t about others and that kids who get both praise and spanks have much closer relationships with family members and others.

Well...that escalated quickly.
No hate though, I totally agree with you.
106. garyII (Posts: 160; Member since: 26 Feb 2014)
the phone seems to be thinner when they are made just using one type of material for the side and the back, but by the way, it seems that the Galaxy S series had become the white rat...used for testing market...
109. HTC_TITAN (Posts: 2; Member since: 09 Mar 2014)
well I'm not a great fan of Samsung but this thing actually looks good
110. docxx (Posts: 63; Member since: 27 Feb 2014)
Here the latest prototype!!
111. gamblor77 (Posts: 106; Member since: 26 Apr 2012)
I kinda hate the look of the phone in this article I'm not gonna lie. I like the fact that they put in a dedicated camera button but the shape of the case looks impractical and even more plastic than anything I've seen. Doesn't even have front speakers...I REALLY hope the S5 Prime has front speakers or I'll lose my sh*t!
If I had to vote I would put all my money on this concept in a heartbeat, looks even better than the HTC One or pretty much any phone on the market IMO:
Got it from this site which has some of the nicest designs I've ever seen:
