The super-sized chart: meet the largest smartphones on the planet (2015)

0. phoneArena 24 Jun 2015, 09:39 posted on

Does anyone remember the 4.65-inch Galaxy Nexus? The 4.7-inch HTC Titan? These were the 'crazy' phablets of days past. Today, these are both considered medium-sized flagships. In just a few short years, we went from being horrified at the thought of anything exceeding 4 inches, to a state where those are tiny even when compared to the mini versions of popular top-shelf models. So, are we in for another round?...

Anything over 6" is mad, i love large screened phones but its pointless having a phone over 6"! Besides the Note 3 beats all hands down!

Don't speak on behalf of others, especially size.

Everyone said the same about original Note(5.3"). But people liked it and tech bloggers had to change their opinion later when Note 2 came.

Well I do share your opinion, everything over 6" should be considered as a tab.

That's what they said 2 years ago about anything over 5 inches.

Pretty much this. I remember people being blown away by the HTC Inspire's huge 4.3" screen. Then, when the Note 1 came out, the Inspire felt like a (very solidly-built) toy by comparison.

While PA didn't list the zenfone 7 (or is that padfone or fonepad, im confused LOL), they should also indicate the availability and of course the current price. I want to have the 6in nexus.

They still said it was too big, until tthe iphone 6+ came out. Now, 5.5in is not too big to the ilovers anymore. it's just the perfect phone size according to them.lol

yes, but for something larger then 5' you need to have big pockets or bags.

My 6 inch Huawei Ascend Mate fit in the pocket comfortably with no problem at all. I have a regular sized pocket. I need a bigger phone more than 6 inches. It would be easier to see things on the screen.

I was just surorised to see that the Note 3 is not up there...!
Hmmm all of a sudden my Note 3 feels so compact in my hands....shame on you all those BIG BIG devices...cant we all go in for something as compact as the Note 3? :)

You only say that because the Note3 has a smaller screen.. So, you attest a Note 4 with a 6" screen❔... If you ever get one then I'm going to call you out on this...
Sounds kinda hypocritical, and something a sore loser would say... Heck, the Note 3 isn't even in this league, so why bring that old tiny device up❔

I like using phones that are 5.2 - 5.7 if I have access to a 7-8inch tablet for my media consumption. However when those are not available, I prefer 6-6.4 inch phablets!

Huawei Mediapad X1 is the best over sized phone

The ratio is off on the Huawei MediaPad X1 phone. They made it extra wide for some reason 16:10 instead of 16:9 like every other cell phone.
If it was 16:9 I would have bought it.

not really. some people who are taller than 6foot could have some use for it.

for example a person from a show i saw used to use a galaxy tab 7 inch since his so big.

I MUST have a phone bigger than 6 inches. I never LOOK at any phone that is less than 6 inches. Any phone bigger than 6 inches ROCKS! By the way, where is the 2016 Super-Size article?

It is so big that even Note 3 is not on the list of the top 15 biggest phones. One day we will be putting 40 inch TV to the side of our heads

Perhaps a small device that can expand into a 40 in "tv" that can also fit inside a pocket

The 1520 is the best IMO❕
Best camera.
Best screen quality.
Best screen technology.
Best audio capturing. 4 HHAC RRS mics
Best battery life. 3400mha
Best processor widely available.
Subjective...
Best Design
Best OS..
The 1520 is the best overall device for me.

what of the Huawei Medipad X1 (Honor), not even on the list, fully functioning 7" inch screen, phone (3g & 4g) - who writes these things?
