I looked up three different articles on cell phone sales worldwide and found three times iPhone didn't make the list. It was my response to "world's greatest selling phone"
Maybe you would like the analogy that I could go down to the mall and buy a t-shirt claiming me the "World's Greatest Dad" or "World's Greatest Sex Machine" as a reference?

sorry darth, that article does 2 things i dont like
puts the iphone up against entire companies. Its not comparing an iphone to a galaxyS, its comparing an iphone to samsung.
it then lists the iphone as the highest selling device in america later in the article, but doesnt list its competion.

so if the iPhone sucked it would kill in sales because it's the only phone released by Apple? Of course not. The reason it sells well is because it's a great phone. The argument of android has options so that's why it sells worse is idiotic.
Love fandroid logic. It is fair to compare one iPhone to ALL android phones for market share, but it' s not fair to compare phones head to head.

Yeah, that is exactly what I said.
Oh wait, no it isn't. Now I remember why I stopped posting here, people like you don't even read before you respond.

Man you got me wrong.I use an iphone 4 for work myself. But at the same time my other pocket holds the galaxy s2.I love both phones for their own reasons.
What I meant is that iphone sells more because it is an apple product.Tell me seriously had people bought an iphone had been released by even a biggie like Sammy with the same specs.NO isnt it.All I mean is that for an iphone to sell its more the brand than the specs and for brands like htc and sammy its the specs that matter more.
HTC and Samsung were hardly any competition to Nokia before android arrived and ever since its the specs and features of a phone that has brought people closer to these brands.
Sammy and Htc have products with awesome specs. That is their usp.
And for apple its their brand image and the incentive associated with the larger than life image apple.
I must also say that apple products are brilliant stokes of genius when it comes to look and appeal but beneath the skin the specs are weak.
But many people prefer looks over features and many prefer features over looks.
There are people in this world who even buy Vertu mobiles. They sure as hell are not looking for features and specs.Iphones also have similar appeal but with an affordable price tag.

I'm not sure if you are responding to me or taco, but I agree with you... my comment was directed at taco.

Buddy I was replying to Taco.I feel the incessant iphone vs android bashing is totally pointless.Hope that people appreciate both for their merits..

love it... that the trolls are here in Apple articles having a good time... bashing Apple like they know more than Apple... "oohh Android already has it"... yes but the kicker is... come closer....... closer.......... Apple does it better.....
46. darth8ball (Posts: 519; Member since: 02 Aug 2011)
I gotta know gallito.....why o why if you're in love with Apple products so, why do you carry an Android phone instead of an iPhone? Honest truthful answer please.
49. gallitoking (Posts: 4571; Member since: 17 May 2011)
ok 8 ball I will answer.. i not that i love product.. i am not like you guys... that will die for a company that cares less about you.. ( but spending too much around here i am turning into one)... I use to hate Apple for being closed.. bougth a Android phone not knowing any better... once my droid X got the Gingerbread upgrade everything went south for me... nothing but problems... and I only use my phone for basics... check facebook. my fantasy football league, and a few games my daughter plays with... my brother have the iphone 3 S and the iphone 4, and played with their phones and was excited about. easier to manuever, to use... so I bought the ipad2 so we can play games and for travel, so now I just used my DX for calls. I dont touched because it makes me mad.. when it freezes... my contract is up VZ so can get the iphone 5 with a 2 year agreement... tried Android didnt like it...I guess I am an Apple person... and thats is the truth... sorry for being long... dude

I appreciate your honesty, and I'm sorry that your DX took a crap after Gingerbread, mine actually worked better on Ginger then Froyo, also using the GoLauncher Ex Theme.
For me the closed and propreitary systems of Apple go against my personal and business beliefs and some of the things they do offend me to the point that I will never give them a dime and try to shed light to others, (like Robin Hood) LOL.
My DX starting freezing with the camera and it started moving to other things just two weeks ago so I got a Bionic but am going to return it and wait for the Prime or Droid HD.
BTW we cool man, thanks

Like Apple's awesome multi-tasking? Way better.

Android should patent voice usage on a mobile phone, then ban any other phone (apple) from being sold in any country.

Nuance would take a giant dump on Google if that were to happen.

off topic... kinda.
so a co worker of mine just told us he wanted a phone.... he said he might be getting the thundbolt or the iphone5 that verizon has??????
... wth!!! people dont even know wth they get! wats important is the name of it thats all... these are the type of cust apple atracks????
( i didnt laugh at him though) it was just sad
66. vette21man (Posts: 351; Member since: 06 Apr 2011)
Not sure how your story has anything to do with name only, or Apple only for that matter. You could have said the same thing about HTC. Why didn't you say "These are the type of cust VERIZON atracks". That would be more appropriate to your argument.
67. gallitoking (Posts: 4571; Member since: 17 May 2011)
I know how you feel... asking for the T-Bolt... damm I hope you reach out to him him and educated him on the holy iphone4..right?...

In my circle of friends and business associates when it comes to phones I am always consulted and help to find the right fit for the person. I have also told them if they are new to smartphone technology and aren't sure what they are doing, I steer them towards the iPhone and tell them once they master that I will help them get a big boy/girl phone next upgrade. I also love when I can use the analogy the iPhone is like training wheels for smartphones, next comes (BB,Android,WP)
75. simplyj (Posts: 402; Member since: 23 Dec 2009)
iOS and WP7 are by far the easiest to use. BB used to be difficult, but is now fairly easy. Android comes in dead last for usability.
And you say it like iOS isn't even a smartphone..
78. Whateverman (Posts: 3064; Member since: 17 May 2009)
"iPhone is like training wheels!". I'll have to use that one. As for what simplyj said Android being dead last in usability... I'd have to strongly disagree. It isnt as easy to use as the iphone, but it wasn't meant to be. Its meant to be a totally unique and customizable OS. But 8ball has got this whole thing down. You have to figure out the best fit for the customer. But most sales reps either don't have the time or are willing to invest the time to fit the phone to the customer, they just sell them what's hot right now without thinking of the customer experience.
I guess it's all about the time you're willing to invest in getting to know your phone. Some people hate reading instructions, hate tinkering with gadgets and jus want something they can turn on a use. I guess those are your iPhone people. Then you have those who want to try everything, be different or just make it their own. I would say those are Android people. Most people who love Android do not hate the iPhone, but it seems impossible to say the opposite about people who love the iPhone. Why is that?

You know what they should make "revolutionary" on the iPhone? HOW ABOUT CALL QUALITY FOR ONCE??
Fanboys can say what they want about how awesome their iPhone is. But they would be lying to themselves and to all of us if they said the iPhone had great call quality.
What is the point of being an iPHONE when your PHONE call quality sucks?
I will just wait for the next generation ipod touch and enjoy all the new features of IOS5.
81. Paden (Posts: 262; Member since: 07 Jul 2011)
I haven't had a problem with it in the last two years of owning iPhones (3GS or 4).
87. Mooooo (Posts: 212; Member since: 27 Aug 2011)
When i owned the iphone 3g it would drop calls left and right sometimes. I thought it was AT and Pee but since I got the Nexus S that has not happened. So guess what it was the iphony 3g. I would consider a windows phone before i would consider an iphony again.
