Apparently only works for voice dictation. Doesn't do anything else, meaning all those really handy things like setting up an alarm or searching stuff for you. I would have been sold if full Siri was on board cause it's something I could really use in everyday life, but now...not so much.

i think the reason is that most ipads are not always connected to a network… but besides for that i cannot come up with much… guess cydia will have to come to the rescue..(if it doesnt take 9 months to jailbreak again…)

maybe apple thinks people use the diction part more… but personally i use the siri part a lotlotlotlot more than i ever use diction

there wont be siri for Ipad until they figure out how to lower bandwidth that siri uses to find things. 66% of all Ipads sold in 2011 were 3g Ipads meaning they thats about 40-45 million people would be using Siri. When Iphone 4s came out. AT&T reported a 40% bandwidth spike because of Siri alone. So that may be one of the reasons why Siri is not being released to Ipads??

I am surprised that with netflix and skype on phones does not spike the internet usage.. Weird.. Unless I missed an article??

the a5x is cortex-A9 dual-core, it only has quad-core graphics.

on the flipside the tegra 3 is cortex A9 quadcore with 8 core graphics.

i dont see how apple is claiming that the a5x is more powerful than the tegra 3.

It is better in terms of GPU performance.
PowerVR SGX 543MP2 > 2x Tegra 3.
A5X now uses MP4 version since it's A5X so...
PowerVR SGX 543MP4 > 4X Tegra 3.

GFLOPS @ 300MHz
19.2 > 7.2
So using A5X
38.4 > 7.2
which is 4x faster than Tegra 3.

thanks for that. i had to check it myself but your numbers are good if the mp4 does turn out to be 2x the mp2.

cant wait for tegra 4, which is expected to hit 120+ GFLOPS @300MHz. coming later this year.

PowerVR Graphics are substantially better than Nvidia's GeForce even with it's high numbered core set-up. you're going to be blown away with the benchmarks for this thing. an MP4...that's more than i imagined they'd do. if this thing had ARM Cortex-A15 cores then even the next generation Exynos would have to hang up the towel unless Sammy has gotten smart and went back to using PowerVR for their own SoCs.

Well, 264 ppi is very impressive for a tablet... One thing Apple is known for is the resolution of their displays (even though the screens on the iPhone and iPod 4th gen are only 3.5 in.) Nevertheless, 264 is a great ppi for a 9.7 inch tablet. Outstanding you could say. Now, I'm anything but an Apple fanboy, but the resolution they crammed into the display of the new iPad is something I give them credit for. They did a good job; however, I do wish the CPU was quad-core, then it could have very well stood it's ground in the present/upcoming high end tablets. I wish Apple would give their new products new tech that would equal or even surpass those of the competition and not just get money from the sheep that will buy this thinking its the best tablet ever. But, it seems like that won't happen until everyone in the world wises up to current technology and actually realizes that Apple isn't making the best products ever. And then people would only buy products based on the OS and the technology, and not the brands stamped on the devices themselves.

Well, yes, theoretically it is better in specs. Quality: I like the Prime better in my own opinion. Performance: I would rather have the complexity of Android, with a little lag here and there, than the simplicity and smoothness of iOS. Even though with the new quad-core CPUs there is virtually no lag in Android. However, that is my own opinion. And the consumer's say that the iPad is better because of the Apple logo stamped on the back of it. They are so blinded by the brand name, they refuse to see the problems with the device; or that is with most cases, you seeming to be one of those consumers.

Everybody likes free stuff, are you trying to say jailbreaked iPhone users don't download free stuff on Cydia? More than 50% of the iPhone users that I know has a jailbreaked iPhone and downloads free stuff all the time. Android or iPhone, it really doesn't matter, we would all like things free.
