The Ativ Q is incredibly awesome. High-end ulta-tab running W8 and Android at the same time, epic screen, superb build. Unfortunately the price tag will come as a shocker, can't see this debuting under $1200.

Really hope the Ativ Q helps pushing the "pixel race" on laptops and convertibles, Full HD on big screens isn't enough and for less than 1000$ or 1000€ you almost can only find laptops with 1366x768 resolution.
Still an impressive feat by Samsung going with that wild resolution! Seriously impressed.

Or you could just pay $499 for an underpowered tablet running a crippled operating system.
Seriously, I can't see one logical reason why anybody would need access to the android VM when they have an unabridged version of Windows 8 at their fingertips.

I don´t think that it can live up to its promised 9 hours battery, but I may be wrong. What is wrong with this tablet is that it has only intel graphics hd 4400 which is only 15% better than hd 4000. No way that it can do much 3D stuff with that GPU and that big resolution. But anyway this thing is awesome by the looks of it. And it will cost 1700 dollars which is way too much, almost no-one will buy this.
And by the way, if we have this kind of resolution on a tablet, why the he.. do we have 1080p on our PC displays?

Cause nobody cares about your PC anymore, it's the mobile gadgets pushing technical specs and Samsung expects to sell more HD+ displays for tablets, laptops, convertibles than for desktop or even television.
I have an FHD monitor and an FHD TV, but none of the portable flagships. Guess when, my next buy will be an HD+ gadget.

The king Masters of all Laptops
Striking stunning design that even Apple copied it and its keyboard layout!
Apple users showing and posing and thinking there so cool on there MacBook Air!
Try show of with the Z series
Only rich entrapanuers and celebs and fat cat managers I see them with high profile and diplomats using them

The VAIO Pro is the kind of successor to the Z series, it has better specs and an even better looking design.
Sony just makes the best laptops in general.

I'm no apple fan, but I do really like mac air. Their pad is so much better than window's. So good that I don't think they need touch screen at all.

The Sony VAIO Duo 13 can run 11 hrs in one charge.....
To most people all Samsung products are the most innovative and the best... no matter what.
Where does Samsung put the USB port on the ATIV Q? Why Samsung put a micro SD slot to it but not standard SD?
11. Berzerk000 (Posts: 3510; Member since: 26 Jun 2011)
The VAIO Duo 13 doesn't dual boot Android and Windows and doesn't have the highest resolution display on any tablet/laptop.
The USB port is the the stand used to keep the display up.

Samsung "GALATIV" Q
That's the better name because of both OS.

I think both ARM and google are starting to become worried right about now.
