Why isn't the Vivid on this poll? 99 dollars, with LTE and now Ice Cream Sandwich.

What the f**k is up with people downthumbing me? I only speak the truth: the Vivid qualifies for the poll but it's not here.

I think there are some folks trolling like no other. There was a post about Instagram where everyone was thumbed down. Maybe PA should allot everyone 50 thumbs a month...you'd have to really be pissed at someone to thumb them up or down...

i agree with drahmad and android_hitman and Sniggly. the vivid deserves to be on the list for it is a high end (for now) smartphone until the one X arrives

Poor sniggs. Your complaining will make you an even bigger target for more down-thumbing. Lol..

I knew that when I commented, but I took the chance because I'm genuinely baffled as to why people would disagree so vehemently with an opinion even the author found valid.

Sniggly people are out to get you or something. It can't all be Apple fans thumbing you down, there are some WP fans thumbing you down also!

You do make a fair point. The Vivid is a great buy for $99 rocks.

I think the Nokia Lumia 900 won because it's new & fresh compared to the other much older choices.

They're not actually disagreeing... they may think they do, but their primary motivation is apparently targetted rage.

Thanks for a good question! The Vivid also qualifies, of course, but I've decided to focus on only the most popular models for each platform. We could've also included BlackBerries and some others too, but decided not to only for the sake of simplicity.

Then again, you have a good point and it's definitely a great device. For the time being, feel free to "vote" for it with a comment, and we'll make sure to mention it in the results if it gets some attention.

Good idea. The LG Nitro HD is also a good choice, but I understand why you'd want to limit the choices

I voted for the Samsung Galaxy S II in the poll, but my $99.99 would actually go to the Samsung Rugby Smart, given the choice. All of the phones in the poll, aside from the iPhone 4, have screens that are 4"+, and are too big to be comfy for me... however, I refused to vote iPhone 4 mostly because it is afflicted with the antennagate antenna and has that glass back panel which I have seen shatter so easily. I don't hate iOS, but when a phone's hardware is engineered for that much trouble it is a big turn-off. The Rugby Smart, on the other hand, is apparently tough as nails and has a 3.7" screen, which is easier to get my thumb across when using it one-handed, and sports Gingerbread with a 1.4 GHz processor (non-dual-core, better on the battery).

You essentially just said that you are preparing to buy an iPhone 5 in anticipation of Apple telling you to buy it when it does arrive. You are definitely falling right into the holding pattern as you await orders...

You have now proven yourself to have at least the debating skills of a circus seal balancing a beach ball on its nose... congratulations!

I didn't know there were people who would admit to be told what to buy and when! lol If Apple fans go by sales then they should buy Androids. I have seen many apple fans ask for the screen to be bigger but all versions including the ones ending with an S haven't had a screen bigger than 3.5". I guess Apple have them brain washed.

why are apple fanboys like broken records? Every time someone doesnt like the iphone, they have to troll and bash everything else. Yet when someone questions the iphone they ALWAYS have to bring up sales.

Out of the three OS's they chose the Samsung Galaxy S 2 for the android picking but the Nokia Lumia 900 is winning by far!

Vivid is not included in this because it is just another droid, and droids are already represented by presumably the best of them, the S2. If they should include any other 99 dollar phone it would have to be a different device, e.g. blackberry or a bada/web os phone or something.

Lumia 900 with 73.73% ?? are u kidding ??
It can't be compared to Galaxy S II !!
Galaxy S II has better OS , Screen , Storage , CPU , GPU , RAM , Camera & it is thinner & lighter

WP7 need time to be good , it needs more apps & support from DEVs
