Huh? Isn't it obvious that every update should be performance improvements? Why post this? I mean the article is hitted around the bush. No specifics. No offense PA, but most readers are not that stupid anymore.

Not all updates are performance improvements. Some are just bug fixes too.

S5 user do expect regular software update from Samsung. In this aspect Samsung do deliver.

Most Samsung hater are the first ones to comment on each and every SG5 articles.

Samsung is working round the clock to dispose their remaining S5 inventories right before the iPhone 6 announcement.

these left and right ads and propaganda reeks desperation

On to your next big thing Sammy, the Note 4, cuz the S5 buzz is clearly OVER

Note 4 is not their 'Flagship Phone' GS5 is and will continue to remain until GS6 comes along.

Notes are targeted at particular consumer who likes huge devices. Irrespective of the specs, Note 4 will be no where near in sales as GS5 as it doesn't cater to 'general consumers'.

That's how Samsung wants you to believe lol

The S5 interest has waned, move on.

All eyes are on the Note 4 right now.

Long overdue. Though I'm sure that right now he's convinced himself that it was because he was just too right, so they had to stop him.

What if Note 4 fails, what will Samsung do?

Considering the Note 1 and Note 2 were super sellers and the Note 3 outsold both phones combined, I doubt the Note 4 will not sell.

The problem that Samsung has is that they release there S line very early in the calendar year. By the time holiday season starts to wind up they are not top dog anymore in the tech community. (Plus the Tech Community hates Samsung Galaxy line anyways)

You couldn't be more wrong.
The Note 3 was the best selling Samsung before the release of Galaxy S5, and it still is one of the best selling Androids on Earth.
Note 4 will almost certainly take over the S5 in terms of sales, and more importantly, the profit margins, which are significantly bigger for the Note that for the S series.

The recent game changing fact is that since the Note 3, Samsung has finally recognized Note series as their true flagships

The Note 3 sold well / but it in no way outsold the Galaxy S4. They give S4's away and the pricing around the S5 too.

The Note 3 is a beast of a phone yes. But it did not outperform the Galaxy S4/S5.

I am not sure about before but for this year, Note 4 will definitely have more advanced tech than the S5.

But some people don't want a phone that big will not choose Note 4. I jumped from Note 2 to S5 because I like the more compact size.

True. The Note 4 will probably be the best phone 'tech wise' this holiday season. But it will not be the most sold phone. The iPhone 6 / S5 will probably still outperform it.

Actually. The iPhone 6 will outperform all phones probably. I don't like the iPhone but the masses do.

i wonder if they gs5 vs moto e video will be redone now. with this performance improvement, the gs5 might actually outperform a $129 phone. i know i might be reaching for the stars here... but it might actually be able to outperfom the $179 and $299 moto models now also.

So because one app was Laggy... you think the 179 will beat the camera... battery life...water and dust proof... nice try troll

it all depends. in the x vs gs5 comparison, if the x hadn't taken five or so seconds to open up youtube, it would have squashed the gs5 in that test by several 'more' seconds. it is not one app on the gs5, it is all of them. it is the lag between button presses etc. i still get thirty hours easily out of my x. the g and e have better battery life. all three moto phones can be dunked in water. and no phone is dust proof. as dust will still scratch the screen and plastic. etc.
for some people... everyday usage is what matters most. not specs. are nice specs great when coupled with a great experience? you darn skippy. but as of now... samsung has not managed to put both of those things together. maybe this performance update will solve the problem. but i seriously doubt it.

That comparison was crap. They opened the gallery app on the E with no files or photos to index, while the GS5 had a ton to index. Put the same files on each then test.
