Don't loose hope buddy, you'll get to have this baby when AT&T acquires T-Mo in the future. LMFAO.

Accd to samsung hte device should have BOTH LTE and HSPA+ capabiltiies on it which further suggest AT&T being the carrier.

If it's not on T-Mobile I'm switching to whoever gets it. I WANT THIS PHONE!

That explains why their version of the SGSII has the 4.3" screen. It better differentiates it from the Note.
22. iDroidx650 posted on 30 Sep 2011, 18:07 1 0
no their version has a 4.3" because the infuse already has a 4.5"

Well like it or not at&t usually always gets the best phones even tho there network ain't the greatest. Well actually it ain't that bad as many people make it to be. If u live in LA like me u are gonna wish u had at&t or Verizon for indor reception inside elevators, underground parking lots and highrise building. Because t-mobile and sprint usually crap out in all those places I'm not even gonna get into that cuz its pointless arguing. At&t and Verizon is the only way to go if ur in the LA area. Lol I remember a while back I decided to give t-mobile a try I got a g2x never making the same mistake twice! I didn't even get signal inside LA fitness gym lol how lame I saw people on metro pcs that went to the gym that wud be chatting away on there crappy metro pcs phones while I had no service on t-mobile. Thank god I have at&t now a Samsung infuse I now have full reception inside the Gym..
28. GALAXY-S posted on 30 Sep 2011, 18:45 1 1
im Glad you finally got a phone that fits your needs! its kinda hard to imagine tmo not having good reception, i live here in phoenix and everywhere i travel in the metro area and inside buildings i always have perfect reception... actually i think all carriers here have good service including cricket (we dont have metro pcs)
.. why would people be chatting away in the gym anyways shouldnt they be working out or doing an activity other than sitting there talking? jus wondering
29. bolaG posted on 30 Sep 2011, 19:38 0 1
Dude T-mobile sucks in phoneix! How can you say that?! Two of my friends have tmobile and they always have little to no respetion in buildings that acctually have concret walls. I on the other hand have verizon and have no problems in the same buildings. Plus if you try to go a little up north past carefree you reception goes bye bye again and a whole bunch of other places as well lol
32. tina da fat gurl (unregistered) posted on 30 Sep 2011, 21:31 0 0
Well I agree with LA gurl I also live in LA and been to 3 different La fitness gym's and in all of them I had no freaking service on my sensation 4G from t-mobile kinda ridiculous if u ask me I mean even freaking metro pcs works like she said. And well to do things like listen online radio stations while running on a thread mill u need to have reception and that was something I obviously couldn't do on my sensation cuz I had no service ..that's da answer to ur question what would people do with a phone while doing a workout.also to call I'm not one of those persons that talks on the phone at the gym but it would still be nice if T-Mobile could at least provide decent reception inside gyms in case for emergencies I mean if metro pcs, at&t and Verizon all work fine why can't t-mobile? O also there is no wifi in most LA gyms so us T-Mobile customers are screwed. With att and Verizon u don't need wifi cuz they actually work!
35. Forsaken77 posted on 30 Sep 2011, 22:35 0 0
There is a reason Tmo is the 4th place carrier... CAUSE THEIR SERVICE SUX!!!

i still dont understand why you would want a phone so big. people might as well just buy a tablet and use that to call people.
23. iDroidx650 posted on 30 Sep 2011, 18:07 3 0
you can't put a tablet in your pocket, and you can't make calls or text with your own number from your sim card
25. bolaG posted on 30 Sep 2011, 18:17 0 2
Agreed. This thing is to big(thats what she said). I wear normal jeans and slacks. That being said what type of pants are you guys wearing that has pockets that can fit this monster(thats what she said)?
26. Thump3rDX17 posted on 30 Sep 2011, 18:27 1 0
it's against the law to make your own "that's what she said" jokes.

30. twenti7 posted on 30 Sep 2011, 19:52 2 0
I wear slim fit jeans, and both the Infuse and SGSIIE4GT fit in my pockets (front and back) with plenty of room. Conversely, my OG EVO barely fits in my front pocket. It's more the thickness of the phone that causes problems for pocket fitment. The note is slightly thinner than the E4GT, and only a half-inch wider so most guys really shouldn't have any problem fitting it in their pockets.
60. SprintPower posted on 16 Oct 2011, 14:10 1 0
I wear cargo pants and cargo shorts 99% of the time. I have NO problem with the size. People manage to carry their 10.2" tablets (plus a phone) around everywhere so this should be a treat.
I can't figure out why people would carry around a tablet AND a phone. This solves my need for both.
8. naginalf (unregistered) posted on 30 Sep 2011, 16:00 1 1
Yes, I'd like a tablet that makes calls yet still fits in my pocket. It almost makes having both voice and data worth it (although, I'm still not going to pay $100 for both). But I won't be getting one if it's GSM. Still considering HTC flyer on UScellular instead, but I do fancy the note.

What about Verizon and LTE? Since Droid Prime looks to delivered first looks like
for a bump from my Droid X's 4.3"
I'll need to settle(?) for a 4.65" HD display.
14. Thump3rDX17 posted on 30 Sep 2011, 16:22 0 0
Verizon should have no excuse for passing up this whopper and getting LTE in this thing and keeping a slim enough profile shouldn't be too hard since it's so big.
15. RORYREVOLUTION posted on 30 Sep 2011, 17:12 2 2
lol my 4.52 inch Epic 4G Touch feels big but compared to this beast it looks like the iphone.
Yea Verizon should pick this monster up and be like HA FOOLED U GUYS!

anyone have a good guess if it will go to another company aside from ATT even though it has specs for ATT doesnt all Galaxy phones go to everyone eventually any comments would help I got a 27 percent discount with sprint so i dont want to leave them
21. ardent1 posted on 30 Sep 2011, 18:06 0 0
I might just get one as a toy to play with and see how it stacks up with the established competition. People tend to forget that the average human hand is only so large meaning this device can't be sold to most of the handset buyers.
I believe if they made the device more squarish like a GPS to held horizontally or in landscape mode, it would have a larger market. People can always use bluetooth devices to make phone calls.
Like I said it will be nice to sample the device. So far i've had a great track record predicting the success of products based on sampling and their business costs such as cost structure. When the Xoom came out I knew that product wouldn't sell well due to $360 in parts plus labor plus a 25% manufacturer mark-up and a 15% retailer mark-up. In contrast, the Kindle Fire cost about $180 in parts and Amazon is selling it for $199 because it is willing to accept a smaller mark-up and there is no retailer mark-up.

Tied to AT&T through work so I will wait for this. I'm a web surfer so this size screen is a plus, and having a stylus, palm tx time again but better. I told co-workers 4 yrs ago that if they make phone the size of the tx and a stylus id buy it in heart beat. N here we are!!!!

posted on 30 Sep 2011, 21:42 0 0 Att has the best 4g balance to date.they still have their hspa+ networks for fast (thin) phones and now they have 4g LTE so basically nobody can touch AT&T speedys now. Plus they get the best phones, they got the most money ,don't need 3G ,and always have the beat model of the iPhone.

IDK what the fuss is all about. I have a Base model Optimus T from tmobile and i get reception everywhere in Boston. Oh, wait, that's right, Boston actually was so kind as to install relay towers in the subway and downtown areas, making the cell companies share the bill. Guess LA is just too cheap! Must be why the dodgers STILL suk!!! LMFAO, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! G'NITE!
45. joanna33 (unregistered) posted on 01 Oct 2011, 05:32 0 0
Well Boston suckz anyways hows ur weather pretty nice huh? With all that snow and all ewwk . Thank God over here in LA it never snows its always nice and sunny ,actually even on winter it never ever goes below 50 degrees. Btw I'm pretty sure u never been to LA yes we also have subway trains the ones underground and OmG Guess what??? Over here underground EVERY single company works except poor t-mobile I guess t-mobile was too cheap to offer service underground. Heck if they don't offer service in a freaking gym what makes u think they gonna work underground? I have Verizon but I have friends on at&t and sprint and t-mobile. And me and my friend on at&t and sprint get service underground while my poor friend on t-mobile has no service on his sensation. And what sucks even more that when he goes to network settings his sensation finds att network but for some reason he can't connect to it so he's stuck without service underground I guess at&t blocks t-mobile roaming over here? Idk either way t-mobile sucks over here. It might be great in Boston but in LA its crap.

I don't get it. It took Samsung almost a year after announcing the Galaxy S II before arriving stateside. This thing was announced (at most) 2 months ago and it's already passed the FCC! What gives??
44. Thump3rDX17 posted on 01 Oct 2011, 02:58 0 0
well this is essentially just a larger Galaxy S II...

You know what's interesting? Dell did this almost a year ago and everyone poo poo'd the idea. I have the Streak 5 and it fits just fin in all my pockets with a 5 inch screen. Even with the otterbox case on it. It is very thin. I think that is key like someone else said.
Dell just did not market it well. I don't think they hardly marketed it at all. What's so good about it is the web surfing and watching video. It was laggey out of the box but with updates to the OS like Froyo and One guy worked a version of Honeycomb from the Streak 7 and got it to work on the 5, it was 100x better. It is now discontinued and I wish they offered something else (I have a huge credit account from them when all I wanted was a laptop for the wife)
The one down side is that it is cumbersome to one-hand operate. I can't quite get my thumb to reach the opposite corners without touching the home or back button (touch sensitive). So I am actually looking to go down to a 4.3" to 4.5" for my everyday and keep my Streak (Or get this when it comes out) for travel and camping.
Very interested in the SGSII or Infuse. I need to see how the interface is. Have to say I do miss my Sense UI from HTC even though it does eat battery.
