With a NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor under the hood, and a zippy browser that renders web pages in a split second, the LG Optimus 2X could make its U.S. debut wearing the colors of T-Mobile...

T-mobile AGAIN!? T-mobile only has 33 million subscribers, JESUS CHRIST. So, LG and Samsung decide to ignore number 1, 2, and 3 carriers in US and go with the last carrier who has least customers? Way to go, LG. I hate you.

So how does that explain them overlooking AT&T then?

There is a good reason why LG would overlook AT&T, and that reason is that it has been voted the worst carrier in the US by Consumer Reports. Also, T-mobile's HSPA+ is way faster than all 4G other speeds.

NOT TRUE AT ALL ! ! ! Verizon has the fastest & ONLY TRUE 4G w/ speeds up to 10xs faster than 3g & they have the best coverage as well . All the other 4g are nearly 3g .

T-mobile may not be LG's first choice. It's up to the carrier too. If the two don't agree on the deal, there will be no deal.

The only reason other carriers aren't getting this phone is because the other networks for the other carriers most of the time have to get significant changes to the phone's internal parts in order for it to function normally on their network. T-Mobile is the best network for buying foreign phones and getting them to work in America. AT&T customers always report problems when getting a foreign phone and using it on their network. But I'm hoping to stop seeing all these touch screen bar phones and get to something good like a slick DoCoMo flip phone with 360 degree rotating screen/3 way flip screen, a 13.2MP camera, HDMI output, Seg1 TV, and all those other absolutely superior features.

Give tmobile a chance if you are with another carrier. Of course first check the coverage in your area, but here is St. Louis area it's absolutely awesome coverage, and I'm saving a ton of money. I just checked billshrink.com and it's the cheapest by far for my usage. I'd have to pay $1000 more over 2 years for verizon. I pay $112 per month for unlimited family data, unlimited family texting, 750 minutes, and 4 phone lines (one is the tmobile at home line). I have the even more plus plan which is no contract and cheaper monthly prices (though you buy your phones at full price - saves money over time). Though I will never leave tmobile, their customer service is absolutely AWESOME!!!
