NOOOOOO why AT&T!!!!

4. russellw10 posted on 10 Aug 2010, 16:21

Maybe they put it on that network cause they figured people would just buy the unlocked one instead of dealing with AT&T's crappy service.

5. JeffdaBeat posted on 10 Aug 2010, 16:26

The odd thing is despite the bad press AT&T gets from the press and non-AT&T customers, there are a lot of phones and companies that make debuts on their network...Apple's first phone, Garmin's first phone, Windows Phone 7 debut, now Dell...can't be all bad...

Up till now the only phone's they have to compete with the idiotphone is the Galaxy. My wife has us locked into a two year AT&T contract with a massive buyout. Did anyone ever mention the crappy AT&T network? Trust me it is crappy.

Again, another person who comments based on the hype of all the non-AT&T users. I had AT&T for three years and had absolutely no problems. I'm sure it's different everywhere, but that's for each person to experience and decide for themselves.

Well if u actually pay attention to his comment...it clearly states that he and his wife are CURRENT At&t customers so not sure where the "hype of all the non-At&t users" statement comes into play. Just b/c it works perfect for you doesn't mean that's all across the board - hense the media (which there have been credible sources to validate their claims) and consumer outlook on At&t's lack of overall coverage, apparently. When several reliable sources and unreliable sources start to say the same things about At&t...there's gotta be a decent level of truth to it.

I've never had a problem with AT&T

28. DonkeyPunched posted on 13 Aug 2010, 03:04

I was a customer with AT&T 3 months ago. And like I said, and I quote, "that's for each person to experience and decide for themselves". He sounds just like every other hater I've found on this site that has tried to downgrade AT&T.

YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!! I've been researching this device more for the past couple of days and have been waiting to finally hear a launch date. By the way the 02 dell streak in Europe gave engadget a Dell Streak with the prototype android 2.1 on it. Meaning 02 will soon b updating there Dell Streaks to android 2.1 soon. This gives more hope for android 2.1 or 2.2 being updated on the american version soon. The Dell Streak with the prototype android 2.1 can shoot 720p hd :D

i dont see $100 more value than the captivate or even the xperia.

8. Sharky posted on 10 Aug 2010, 17:18

Agreed. With a 5" its just not worth $300. $225-250 would have been a fair price for this under contract.

9. applesr4eating posted on 10 Aug 2010, 17:19

Three hundred is way to much to lock yourself into 2 more years of AT&T. Hell AT&T should be giving me money to put up with their Sh1tty network.

10. zerglisk posted on 10 Aug 2010, 18:27

$550 for a 5" android pad.. I would rather wait for Galaxy Tablet with bigger screen and maybe cheaper price~! Most likely that Galaxy Tab will be cheaper than the iPad though.

11. ace1122 posted on 10 Aug 2010, 18:30

Is this a phone or tablet?

14. bng posted on 10 Aug 2010, 21:27

thats what im trying to figure out as well....lol....

20. cansler posted on 11 Aug 2010, 08:43

The beauty of this device is it's both, small enough to be a phone and big enough to be a tablet.

12. 3watts posted on 10 Aug 2010, 19:32

So I am going to have to sell my right nut to buy one and also to make room in my pocket for the 5" screen? These sizes are getting out of control.

13. networkdood posted on 10 Aug 2010, 19:38

wow, alot of whiners about AT&T and I bet alot of them do not have AT&T service...just because you read all of the media hype about something does mean it is reality...

15. Man_of_God posted on 10 Aug 2010, 22:41

Looks like AT&T is landing some of the hottest products.... This just adds to their portfolio... If you don't like AT&T's network, why not use another carrier. It gets tiring hearing your opinions. Over the last year, AT&T has added more new customers than any of the other US carriers. The proof is in the numbers. So, for some reason, people keep switching and adding more lines on AT&T. If you can't accept reality of documented numbers, then keep living in your own reality.
