Text-to-speech outfit IVONA is snapped up by Amazon

Amazon has purchased IVONA Software, the company behind the text-to-speech capabilities on the Amazon Kindle Fire series, for an undisclosed amount of money; features such as "Text-to-Speech," "Voice Guide," and "Explore by Touch" on the Kindle Fire slates all use IVONA's technology which is used by other companies world wide, with 44 voices speaking 17 different languages...

Been using IVONA for text-to-speech for over two years now. I hope they stay in the Play Store.

I think iSpeech is better than this company from what I have heard.
