The decision by Google's wholly owned Motorola subsidiary to open a plant in Texas has been a boon to the area. 2000 new jobs in the Fort Worth area were created and these are jobs in the high tech industry; during a recent tour of the plant, Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside explained why his company isn't upset about paying more for labor...

Hope Hillary does run cause I think she is smarter than Bill and would make a great President. Not to mention she has been in the real power circles for more than 12 years, now. As for poor Gov. Perry, he was truly embarrassed in the Primary, and he reminded me of a male version of the Imbecile from Alaska, you know, I dont even want say her name! I hope she will just fade into the past. She is soo Dumb it hurts when I laugh. She adds new meaning to the term IMBECILE. Trust me, as a physician, I know.

umm... despite my hate for Apples walled garden, as someone who lives in Texas... I would only wish him as Governor on my WORST of enemy's...

So effing horrible, and despite all the scandals, enough company’s employees are bought off already leading to his continued stay in place (that and the innumerable amount of idiots here in Texas!)...

You hope Hilary runs....... I guess because Obama has done such a great job you wish he could run for a third term as well. You Obama sheep are scary ignorant as to what he actually does as compared to what he says. He hates what america is and stands for, it's well documented. He also has never had a job in his life. He's a complete failure.

You're the only person who sounds "scary ignorant". Just repeating political slander and BS. Never had a job?? Wasn't he a senator? I guess I can understand not liking him, but you just sound extreme.

He is a moron who runs a crony state and uses the Bible as the official state literature. He was too stupid to do well at Texas A&M, and he was G.W. Bush's hand-picked successor. He has helped increase the poor and working poor in the state, he has helped destroy the American dream in Texas with unregulated insurance companies that see us paying the highest average homeowner premiums in the nation, and he and his lackeys have gutted the education system so that they can give tax breaks to friends and companies who are not required by contract to stay and create jobs. Governor Goodhair can throw all the phones he wants, because he has never received a single vote from me. He needs to crawl back under his Evangelical rock and shut up.

"He never had a job," other than lawyer at Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland in Chicago and Law Professor at University of Chicago. So, what do you do? Other than listening to other people report so you can decide. "He hates America." You do realize this article is about a man who called for his state to secede from the US, right.

Hey, you need to be kinder to imbeciles.

Somebody has to be the imbecile; be thankful it wasn't you but instead it was someone who could see Russia from her backyard.

If you're really a physician I'm pretty sure that last thing you would want is Hillary in office. She would make an absolute horrible president. She couldn't even hold down Secretary of State. Being in power circles means nothing. She has no concept of how to conduct foreign policy. Aside from that, as a “physician" one would think you'd be mighty pissed about all that money you've been losing with that whole Affordable Healthcare Act. Every actual physician I know is losing money like there's a hole in their pocket. Physician's Assistants are making about the same as M.D.s and have zero legal liability. No need to pay for high malpractice insurance premiums. You think she's going to step in and repeal that law? She'll just make it worse.

It's nice to see made in America . It's sad that most Americans don't care about made in America products. All I'm saying by not buying American is only hurting ourselves and our children. So keep buying your Toyotas, Samsung TV, and asin products. But stop crying that the work you do is in the service Industry. You did it to yourself.

I'm just as happy to see a phone assembled in the US, but you have to understand that this is a global economy and the US cannot live and buy in a vacuum. Clothing, toys, electronics... very little has been made in the USA within my lifetime. That's because it's not affordable to make everything here. So I commend Motorola for making it work.

Don't get me started on foreign cars though. Most of the Asian cars are assembled right here in the USA. I don't care where the CEO lives, if the line workers are American, it may as well be American.

+1 Toyota and Honda, etc... got tired of paying duties and wanted protection with the dollar/yen relationship, so they came here and we all benefit from it!

I get what you're saying here, and for the most part I agree. But this isn't the fault of the American consumer, its the American corporations that drag down their own brands.

American companies make products designed to break so that every customer is a repeat customer. I have a 1999 Honda CRV that runs circles around every "American car"in my neighborhood. While everyone else is buying new starters, transmissions, and had gadgets, I'm still driving around with 99% of original parts. Honda and Toyota make cars to last and most of them ARE made in America. So if Motorola can keep serving up qualify products like this (with Beyer specs next time) I'm on board. Until then, my Note 2 will be my constant companion. And I hope hp will either bring Palm back or sell or to another American company, we coups really use the jobs.

Toyota builds more cars in the US than Ford (or at least did as of a few years ago)
