Already happened. The only one of Motorola's current offerings not already on Jelly Bean is the Photon Q. The update has also been promised for the original Razr and Maxx. The updates have also come fast after ICS.

They only turned around and changed their minds once. In fact, their track record previous to the Tegra 2 was to do about faces and update phones they had previously decided wouldn't be updated.

Right now for 2012 phones they're 4 for 6 in updating to Jelly Bean.

The Razr M, Razr (Maxx) HD, and Atrix HD are all on Jelly Bean, with the original Razr (Maxx) waiting to be rolled out within the next month.

And didn't all of those Jelly Bean updates come out in December, just 3 months after release (not including the Atrix HD)?

So, they updated 4 devices in the same month. Yup, they sure have a bad attitude about updating... Shame shame.

I think Goggle is going too fast with the upgrade. The phone manufacturers are still working on their Jellybean upgrades and the low-end is still yet to taste ICS. Fragmentation issues worsen with this..

I'm a WP8 user (Lumia 920) and I don't get your comment. Android has nothing to Worry about seeing their market share. It's like a pitbull vs a Chihuahua. I really want WP8 to keep gaining market share but I know the reality is that it would take years to catch Android.

It's most likely gonna be in the $200-$300, on-contract, range...and I would gladly pay $300. My guess on main specs = 4.8"-5" 1080p screen, 460ppi, 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage (with an avail MicroSD slot), Key Lime Pie, HDMI-out, kevlar backing and reinforced metal body with nano-coating,13MP rear camera/2MP front cam, 3500mAh battery.

Google has essentially already killed SD in Nexus devices, so I wouldn't expect to see it in the X Phone. SD cards are good for some users, but they cause issues with widgets and other things that need to load on boot, so Google wants to phase them out.

This is not a nexus device just a phone that is getting key lime first or maybe not. All the nexus devices could get key lime before launch. Pluse the x is suposed to have a light versiom of moto blur acording to rumers. Giving that its cheaper to produce a 16 gb phone with a sd card I would not count it out. It will probably be based off of yhe razer line in production so it might use the same mother board or whatever you call it with better hard ware so having a sd card in ther might happen. I give it a 50 50 chance of it not only having one but 50 50 cgance of being called a nexus device with og android with no moto blur. I dont care either way except for the updat timline because moto blure is mostly just widgets on stock android and not a memmory and battery hog touchwiz and sence is

It won't carry the Nexus name, because Moto is a "separate" company, and Nexus is Google's brand, but Google still has control over what is coming. That would likely mean no SD slot, but it will have NFC, and I wouldn't be surprised if it worked with the Wireless Charging Orb.

32GB would be a given (at least I would think). If a phone like the HTC One X+ can have 64GB of storage for $200 on-contract, I would assume that the X phone could have at least 32GB for the $200-$300 on-contract price.

This is true to some extent.... I used to have issues on my Atrix with apps installed on SD, but the implementation on the Galaxy S3 I had and my current Sony Xperia Acro S, is that the microSD card is used for multimedia purposes (pictures, music, videos, and documents..) but not apps... those are installed in the internal memory with option to place them on the media partition of the (same) memory.

This solution bothers many people who cant (without help of third party apps or rooting etc) install apps on the external SD card... BUT at least this is a helpful way to keep tons of music and movies on the phone.

It is still better than no microSD at all... I wish Google would implement it this way... still forcing apps in the internal memory, but letting people place music and movies which are the heavy weighters on the external side.

Price, of course, is important but if cheap is what you want there are plenty of second rate, budget friendly devices out there. Hell, the Moto X will too in time. What I want to see is a kick ass device that has EVERYTHING customers are wanting. I'm so tired of having to settle because this device lacks this that device lacks that. I want an awesome all around device and I am willing to pay for it. I use my phone more than any other device I can think of, for both work and play, so I don't worry about getting my money's worth!

You are right, Motorola stuffs huge batteries into slim bodies the RAZR HD is 4,7" and has a 2500mah battery i should expect no less than that for the X Phone.
