The latest report from Nielsen shows teens are significantly increasing their monthly data usage – more so then any other age group. When looking year over year at Q3 from 2010 to Q3, 2011

i feel like although u might that most people dont send that many… most people in high school cant physically text that much so i dont really believe this survey… there is so much going on idk how anyone cud reach AN AVERAGE of 3,000… sure there are some standouts but an average that high seems ridiculous

Its really easy, Your probably not a teenager so you don't understand, phones and computers are our life's, a really easy way to socialize when you cant in person! i should probably be studying for finals.. nahhhh

i am 16 too and i barely manage to reach 100 texts in a month...but i do consume alotta data...like 5 gigs maybe.

I feel really old. I am 16 and rarely message. My messages never exceed 100 per month. That's in the senior citizen groups !

Im 16 and i shoot out/receive anywhere between 3000 and 7000 texts a month depending on the season. I also use 5 to 7GB of data a month...

I'm 20 and i send about 5000 messages receive about the same a month and my monthly data usage is around 1-2GB.

Devices are cool and all. But all they are doing little by little is making people more antisocial as a . I can society speak for myself. But I would rather verbally talk to someone on the phone or in person. Texting to me is only if you need to get an urgent message out to someone. Otherwise it say's to me. I don't have time for you. Your not important enough to speak to verbally. Want proof go up to someone on the street or a store and say hello to them. They usually look at you in horror or shock. Oh no I actually have to speak to someone. How can I do that without a device. No keyboard or some sort of touch screen in fornt of them. That's just sad. Whether your 5 or 125 years old. Well let's hope this changes in the future. Have a great day. Sam
