Target will start selling the iPhone starting on November 7th
Being provoked by the onslaught of competition coming down from every direction, Apple is trying to get some additional exposure to its iPhone models by branching out to more retailers. Most recently, popular retailer Target started to offer the iPad in its store nationwide, but now it won't be long before customers will have the opportunity to fetch the iPhone 3GS and 4 models.

Starting November 7th, 864 Target retail locations will begin selling both iPhone models – which will obviously help expose Apple's popular smartphone to additional customers outside of Apple, AT&T, Walmart, RadioShack, and Best Buy stores. Although there is a select few that have the opportunity to be selling Apple products, it does show that Apple is doing whatever it takes in bringing their products to other retailers to impede the competition from encroaching its territory.

Target's senior VP of merchandising, Mark Schindele said, “At Target we continue to offer our guests the best in electronics so we’re happy to add iPhone to our Target Mobile offerings.” Although it's not going to be sold through all of Target's stores across the country, it's hopeful that “most” of them will be carrying the iPhone by the middle of 2011.
