Target to discount Apple iPhone 5s, Apple iPhone 5c and other models
A loyal Phone Arena reader has sent us some information about an upcoming sale that will take place shortly at Target. Our tipster didn't tell us when the discounted prices will take effect or how long they will be good for. But let's start with the Apple iPhone 5s. The new flagship iPhone will be reduced to $179.99 regardless of carrier branding or color. All variants of the Apple iPhone 5c will be $49.99 in all colors and for all carriers. These prices require a signed two-year contract.

Also discounted will be the Samsung Galaxy S4. The Verizon and AT&T version of the phone will be just $129.99 while the Sprint branded model will be priced at $149.99. Lastly, all versions of the Samsung Galaxy S III will cost just 1 cent. Again, these prices will require a signed two-year pact.

Since we haven't been told when to expect this sale to begin, you might want to give your local Target a call before heading over there.

Thanks, Anonymous Tipster!

UPDATE: Another tipster was nice enough to tell us that this sale will start on Sunday and will be accompanied by a trade-in program that will give you at least $100 plus an additional $25 to be used toward a new phone. Additionally, you can trade in your old Apple iPad and receive $200 toward the purchase of a new Apple iPad Air.

Damn, Apple must be making sure to deliver for the next quarter after the meh current one. Still, I think the same people that have been buying iPhones will buy them again. Getting new customers with something that far behind will probably be too tough.

All Target prices run from Sunday to Saturday so I would imagine this would be the same.

The IPhone 4 Verizon version price has dropped today $50 on Target online. It was $399. Now $349. Still overpriced. That phone should be under $300.

Actually the Air is NOT part of the Giftcard offer next week. Only iPad 2 and iPad 4 and the old Mini, (since the new one isn't out yet).
