The initial widgets are displayed full screen, including scrolling abilities, so you can quickly check new email or calendar reminders by swiping between them left and right without even unlocking your display, for instance. There are privacy implications, of course, with such personal info front and center, but if you don't want it displayed, simply don't put those widgets there...

It is only the beginning, Google Now!, lockscreen widgets, Miracast, Android is going places. Next stop - and gimme thumbs up if you agree - a fullHD Google Nexus phab.

Anybody else think this whole lock screen just looks bad?
I mean I love android, the way they've designed all of thus doesn't seem the nicest

I agree with you, I know that Google wants to be innovative, but this is just wrong, privacy is neglected here.

Cool but hardly new. Several Android overlays have been doing this for a while now, including HTC Sense and WidgetLocker.

They'll remove this feature eventually, not useful nor practical at all. I don't want people to read my e-mails, that's why I lock my cell phone, to avoid people from seeing my personal information. Displaying such information in the lockscreen overrides privacy measures.

Didn't the video explain that if you have a password that you will have to put that code in before you can view the widget? Also you don't have to use this feature if you don't want to. I see no reason why this feature would ever be removed

IMO, apps that contain private information like messaging and e-mail should not be displayed like this.

It would be very different if only the apps like clock, calendar (without the tasks displayed, just the calendar for quick reference of the dates), music (although is personal is not going to harm you in any way if somebody take a look at your phone), calculator or other task-oriented apps were displayed in the lockscreen.

I just dislike the idea of that lockscreen feature and trying to share my concern for privacy issues.

yet it prevents anyone to access the e-mail body message, you can still see the headings. just saying...

Anyhow, depends on whether the user wants to use this feature or not.

Easy just dont use it. And stop complaining.
Some people love it and hate it or simply don't care
Thats why google always give you choice
