As if we needed more proof that tablets are the new big thing in mobile computing. NPD DisplaySearch has come up with a new survey forecasting that tablets will outsell notebooks globally for the first time in 2013...

Aren't Notebooks made with real paper? I think the article is referring to Netbook computers.
Anyway, I'd prefer a Netbook all day. It's much more useful and I dislike typing on a screen all of the time. I can also use the Netbook to sync my devices, etc... Store photos, music, work, etc.
I think Tablets outsell netbooks because it's a more casual device to carry around.

No, the article is correct in referring to them as "notebooks". Netbooks are laptops with a screen around 10-12 inches that is much smaller than what we refer to as a notebook. That's actually how they came up with the name "netbook" was from the other name for laptops: "notebook".
Also, there are tablets like the ASUS Transformer that combine the keyboard dock with the tablet. The advantage of a device like the Transformer is that you can write on the screen with a stylus, or if you are typing out long notes you can use the keyboard. It's much easier to navigate using touchscreen (in my opinion) than it is using the trackpad.

Well im sure this artice really mentions notebook beacuse netbok is already dead in my opinion tablet can outsell notebooks in 2013 because notebook is lacking major change my notebook resolution is 1920x1080 while the nexus 10 are using 2560x1600 resolution but still tablets canot beats notebook in terms of functionality and hardware,im sure there are no tablet that can beat my msi ge60

My Asus Transformer Prime with its keypad dock is VERY serious with Office Suite Pro installed. Sure I agree that you STILL can't do as much with a Tablet, but the lines ARE starting to blur & the tech is MOVING in that direction.
Tablets are the natural evolution to the PC/LapTop.

I absolutely love my Infinity, but when it comes to really taking over 30 minutes to look at something on line, i will always use my notebook/laptop.
