So you think that tablets don't deserve to be loaded up with all of those wonderful apps the same way you load up your handset with them? The Windows Store now has 50,000 apps and during March, an average of 279 new apps a day were made available for the Microsoft Surface RT and the Microsoft Surface Pro, the first month in sometime that showed an increase in app development for the market...

iOS has over 300,000 tablet optimized apps, not a big number, Windows 8 and RT will easily overtake them.

Windows RT is an evolutionary dead end. Nobody else is making RT tablets, and the few that are out will be one and done. Surface RT might see a sequel, and it will sell even less than the current one.
As for Windows 8, I think it is safe to say that it is a flop much worse than Vista was, given the price cutting that is going on with the devices, and if Windows Blue is more of the same, Steve Ballmer will be out on the street, if not before that.

Don't you think by the time they get from 50,000 to 300,000, apple will have added thousands more also? I mean common sense would indicate that man lol.

When sales don't materialize, revenue split terms get more liberal. Combined with Evernote making more per customer on its WP platform, that might get more developer attention. Especially if the Evernote story is not a one-off experience. Memo to Steve - order the WP marketing team to research every app developers experience to find every single one who is doing better per customer in the WP ecosystem. Then publicize the stories until every media outlet is talking about them. This is a better story (positive story/experience)than the drivel about being scroogled (negative story/experience).
Cash talks and bullish*t walks, as it were.

M$ has been distributing notebooks in the past to bloggers to do trash talking against competitors. All that Steve would need to do is allocate more funds to and start distributing more free notebooks and WP to bloggers.

That's pretty impressive. I still don't think RT will take off but VERY happy with my pro with W8. Mine goes everywhere with me and has spawned a few buys from others in my office

Because WindowsRT Tablet are just base Tablets this might get it somewhere but I do agree that it's a dead end unless Microsofts new updates can make it more then it is now

Wish I could suggest Stephan Elop a new company and leave Nokia so they can think beyond WP.

Tried out a surface tablet in Best buy. It does look a lot more "office" ready compare to my ipad and android tablets on the market. The screen looks very sharp and the software is pretty fluid.

$100 per app is insulting. You can do better msft.
