Hmmm. Between all the news of Nexus Ones being sold in stores, Mytouch Slides, Galaxy S' and now Sidekick Twists this is all saying I shouldn't have bought my Cliq XT. Oh well. None of the announced phones run Motoblur which I'm enjoying. So really I guess I'm ok. :)

you didnt really need anything after "i shouldn't have bought my cliq xt"
6. matistight (Posts: 259; Member since: 13 May 2009)
if a cliq xt is like a cliq....i am so very sorry...you need an htc that was made to run androids slow moto blur.... i bet if you had moto blur on a nexus that it would devour any phone, no not like the devour for verizon, in the devour's case, no one has to worry about competition

I've had the Cliq XT for two months now and it's NOTHING like the original Cliq. It's a lot faster and Motoblur is better too. They even announced that the XT was better than the original Cliq when it came out. Until you retards have the actual phones that you bash about on here, maybe you should keep your opinions to yourself.

some of u might think im lying but i honestly dnt care. .. but my friend who works at t-mobile told me that they told all employees that there a new phone coming to t-mobile with a front facing camera for video calling because apparently t-mobile now allows video calling on their network . the only reason we are not able to use that feature right now is because no phone from t-mobile has a front facing camera right now at this moment . . he told me that they didnt tell them what kind of phone it was so it could be from sony, samsung or htc . but that o yea its coming . this summer. that they told all employees that the only reason t-mobile will be taking out phones with video calling because they don't want to stay behind form the competition from at&t and sprint because the sprint evo 4G has a front facing camera and the upcoming iphone will have a front facing camera for video chats or video calling whatever u wanna call it.. well i still find it hard to believe i dont know if this is really true so please dont get mad at me. but my friend assured me for sure that that is what they told them and my friend has never lied to me in 15 years.. so im still in limbo i dnt know if i shud believe him or not? i hope it is true . because were the only place in the world were we do not have video calling ,europe, canada, mexico south america, asia australia have all had video calling for quite some time already ... were the only ones behind....

dude " i know someone that works at tmobile" and ur fulla crap. lol. they havent said or released anything to employees saying any such thing. I hate to tell you, but 90% of what phone company employees learn is from sites like this, bgr, tmonews, androidcentral, and the like. companies tell their employees NOTHING as long as possible to keep leaks like this comming out. So unless your friend works high level in a device testing department, hes full of it. Now, when tmobile has some phones that can take advantage of the HSPA+ speeds, yes video calling is an option. its NOT an option now because of the bandwith/speed issues. Its the same thing that Sprint is doing. The EVO is able to do video calls because it can run on the faster network. I doubt the video calling aspect will work well/at all on the 3g side. As far as the cliq goes. The cliq is nothing like it was at launch. Its much faster and more stable. The XT is actually running more advanced software at the moment, but the cliq will get those enhancements along with 2.1 shortly. While not as "drool worthy" as some of the other android devices, its a very solid phone for most users and once u get used to Blur, its hard to give up. Which is why im pissed that the Motoroi isnt comming since it was a high end phone with blur on it. Oh well. So basically from what it sounds, the sidekick is going to be the lovechild of an Evo and Mytouch Slide. I cant say that thats not a great combination.

t-mobile will never have a power house phone your network cant handle it the only phone you guys have is the nexus and that phone has nothing but problems you need to come over to verizon and get the htc incredible

I work at Tmobile and I have heard no news like that so no they didn't tell all employees about this "new phone." Remixfa is right, I get a lot of my info online but I will only treat everything as a rumor and not fact.

@Gowireless - Have you used the Nexus? I have an N1 and I am just assuming you know the Nexus has nothing but problems because of what you have read? I run into no issues whatsoever on my phone. Incredible is a cool phone but I would still keep my Nexus if I had both options available to me.

dud i know i never said it was true dnt get mad at me lolz thats why i said above that i wasnt too sure about it ... thats just what they told me i wudnt know cuz i dnt work at t-mobile ..

@Gowireless, well your tech & info is pretty stupid. Just to clarify, I have an N1 as well for T-Mobile and I haven't run into a single problem with it. It's just amazing. I'm sure there are a few problems with some of the manufactured phones, but most phones run into these problems. People wanted to dissect the phone since it was one of the first Android with a 1GHz snapdragon processor. It was also the first Android phone to come out onto a network that was considered, in your terms, a powerhouse phone in America, as well as the HD2, which was second, ALL on T-Mobile (The LG Expo has been on and off on AT&T and its website, so I'm not gonna consider it). The Incredible hasn't even been out long enough to find all the problems, yet. I'm sure someone or some article will come along and there will be news. Along with that, notice how Google is the only seller of the Nexus One? That's why they haven't sold as many. It'll be in T-Mobile stores soon, so possibly sales might go up too. Its really nice to have a phone no one else has, unlike everyone else who has heard about the Incredible since it's advertised. When people play with my phone, they always ask what phone it is. I just say the Google Phone and they are like "wowwwww". Also, the picture quality on the Incredible isn't as good as the N1, which was supposed to be the only superior thing to be better than the N1. Just Google the comparisons or search Engadget and you can see. So please, make people on this website look smarter and reframe from posting nonsense.

I'm really looking forward to this EVO killer, I hope they really do bring it out in the Summer and not let it slip to the fall.

4.3 in. super amoled + keyboard = a big a** phone. But it being a sidekick, it should feel right at home. I was on board for the evo but now I might just wait for this. i doubt they'll make it swivel like the traditional sidekick so i'm thinking they'll make a form factor like the sidekick slide. And it being a touchscreen, i assume there will be less hardware keys... then again they just might be replaced with the required android buttons. I have high expectations for this. Im a huge sk fan. Im so glad there not giving up on the sidekick line.

I was actually curious at how big this would be too. If it is a swivle 4.3 that would be almost like holding 2 HD2s flat in front of you lol. I'm excited to see how this is going to turn out.

what if it ends up a portrait slider lmao.... :-(
21. illdill (Posts: 1; Member since: 26 May 2010)
This certainly would be a sweet phone. It's like gadget porn for me. I loved the Sidekick when I had it years ago but ever since Android, I've never looked back. Now with both in one device it's a dream come true. To mdw92581: Noooo! And a bit of a copmplaint... WTF are the companies thinking manufacturing brand new phones with 2 megapixel cameras? Am I on planet earth or not? Why are decades old specs being put on brand new devices? ps. I work for VZW tech support and can confer that telecom employees know squat about upcoming devices. We do get our information from these type of forums as well. For instance, maybe thousands of VZW customers are waiting to upgrade to the iPhone, but we have no offical information on that, and it is entirely possible but highly unlikely that they are waiting for nothing.
