International pop star Shakira, who displayed her talents last year on NBC's The Voice filling in for Christina Aguilera, is rumored to be helping T-Mobile tonight introduce the third phase of its UNcarrier plan in New York City; images seen on a Shakira fansitesite seem to indicate that T-Mobile is going to offer free data in over 100 countries to its customers. The images also state that your T-Mobile data plan now has a passport....

With all the uncarrier push and T-Mobile's growth this year, they really do need to beef up the network... nobody want's T-Mobile data speed to turn into "Sprint Speed" lol

Tmobile does not use Wimax, it is the same technology as ATT uses except they have double the bandwidth that ATT has. My city is I would say 85-90% covered in LTE from them and I see speeds from 20-50MBps on a daily basis.
When i had ATT at best i would see 25-30 on their LTE here. I have heard its even worse now and rarley goes above 20.

It may be the same technology but, AT&T actually has coverage. I guess T-Mobile plans to piggyback off their partners abroad for this Passport to work - too bad it won't work here.

When LTE for tmo first hit my city I was getting a consistent 35mbps... its slipped to about 25mbps (yeah I know, my phone doesn't ever know the difference lol)... but as more people switch over and see the benefits of tmo and the much improved network, we'll see that number slip more and more... I just hope the network team is up to the task.

T-Mobile has always had choppy service here in Kansas but, this is certainly an incentive for those who travel a lot and I hope they get better service with their Passport abroad than I got here with their limited reception. I miss this Shakira girl though, she's really cool but, so is Christina. I also miss that scrumptious Usher, boy would I like to tie him up with my Piggy Tails. And, that Adam, talk about FINE!!! Oooohhh CHILD, make me SWEAT!!

hopefully they announce better network coverage over here in los angeles as long as your in the city tmobile works much better than att and verizon offering the fastest lte speed yes faster than att n verizon lte and only one to offer HD voice. i have att and verizon but i know a few people who got tmobile and there lte is much faster than what i get on both att n verizon lte speeds up to 30 dwnn 15 up highest i get on att is 10 dwn 2 up verizon is even slower 3-4 dwn 2 up and better voice quality borrowed there phones i was amazed with how clear calls sound. Only problem like many said there coverage aint that great outside the city were att n verizon have better coverage if they were to improve that i would switch to them.

As a tmobile customer I can say they have good coverage outside of cities, I always get 3-5 bars and never lose service, it is just 2g/3g so it is slow. If they upgraded all there towers outside of cities they would be beating att and verizon.
