i really hate how little inventory Tmobile gets for big launches. They really have no idea how much money they are losing. When i worked for VZW and we had big launches we got stocks and stocks and stocks of them (ok exept for the original Storm launch, lol). Thats why VZW sells a million droids in a month and Tmobile sells 25k fenders or HD2s.

Since you work for a cell company, you should know that they don't make the phones and are subject to stock that the manufacturing company allows them. I assume Motorola must have made better plans for the launch. Not to mention the fact that the Droid was heavily advertised as the HD2 was not until launch, and then not much was seen. I guess word of mouth and sites like this had a bigger advertising impact then imagined. Oh well, I ordered my HD2 early wednesday morning so I'm good.

your forgetting an important part of the stock process. Tmobile has to TELL HTC how many they want. Your telling me HTC magically made just about the same number of Fender LE's as they did HD2s? And Mytouches when they launched? No, Tmobile just doesnt order enough. VZW tries to over order in most cases.. Tmobile needs to learn that trick. Again, if you miss say 2-5 sales on launch day, per store, all over the country and then each day that your "out of stock"... your missing out on a lot of sales... on high end data sales that a company that is trying to get more profitable needs. Not to mention all the new lines they are losing by being out of stock. Not everyone wants to wait a month for them to come back in stock. Yes, the Mfctr is part of the equasion but so is how many Tmobile places the order for.

Im sure sprint is gonna push some advertising on it since its the biggest (literally and figuratively!!) handset its had in a good while. If the HD2 sells quickly without advertising and being a windows phone, id immagin the EVO will fly at.... supersonic.. speeds right out the door ..LOL Hell, if iwasnt a tmo rep, id prob fly over n grab one.

Still did not have a chance to drop by a cellphone store and get my HTC HD2. I hope I can get my hand on one soon...
