T-Mobile releases its official Samsung Galaxy S5 unboxing video
T-Mobile is accepting pre-orders for the handset starting on Monday. The carrier is asking for $0 down with $27.50 due monthly for 24 months. That works out to $660. That pricing is being called a "special introductory price" that the nation's fourth largest carrier is charging up through March 31st. Starting next month, T-Mobile will probably re-work the pricing to require a down payment along with the monthly installment charges.
With this year's model, Sammy has added a heart rate monitor, a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button, and IP 67 certified water and dust proofing. Right now, you can pre-order the phone from carriers like AT&T, Sprint and U.S. Cellular. The first two are asking for $199.99 with a signed two-year pact while U.S. Cellular will reserve you a unit for $199.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.

Failure? well, Wherever I go people say did you see the S5? it has this and that and that and it's awesome. I ask those same people .. did you see the new one and the z2? answer comes with a no.. they ask is it good? i say they're great they say okay and continue about the S5 ... it's just the way it is, it's not only us 50 persons here on the site .. people don't really care about something other than samsung and apple. that's why i only saw once a sony and an htc.

I agree with what you say but slowly but sure, more people are beginning to open their eyes and minds.
That there are other options that are equal or even better than on Apple products or samsung.
That's why the sales of several other companies such as LG, Nokia, Sony and Lenovo increased.
Just remember samsung takes years to beat Nokia and when it comes to Android Samsung is replaceable.

Seems more like your community in a nutshell, Where i'm from everyone is skeptical of what to get, except the older generation 40-50+ :p

At least you are honest to state the fact as you see it unlike some dumb ones who believe their opinion is final.
14. maherk (Posts: 786; Member since: 10 Feb 2012)
we get it, you love the Z2 and hate anything else. Now for God's sakes, stop trolling on every other articles that doesn't mention the Z2.
15. rangaha (banned) (Posts: 86; Member since: 05 Dec 2013)
so why do you get so butt-frustrated and take a dump in the comment section in every article that mentions the s5? lel
18. The13thKing (Posts: 849; Member since: 26 Feb 2014)
because it annoys me how fanboys - that make multiple accounts to +1 their comments and annoy others - attack the S5 and bug every S5 article so I find joy in making fun of them and mocking their wannabe brands.

Sorry to say this but I was not surprised or jump into happiness when I just saw it into this video. I think there is something missing with S5 and I think, maybe, it is the looks of S5. It is not stunning as before compare to note 3 and S4. This video is a just a confirmation for my part that S5 is boring. The elegance is not there the wow factor maybe the screen, but it is not as you would definitely observe the difference from other phones.

Lol cry more. S5's not going to fail. I guess this wasnt trolling or should i say hands up.
35. Astoni (Posts: 429; Member since: 28 Sep 2013)
Of course not.. i hope it goes will with HTC new, i don't really want any OEM to fail.. bigger selection of brands is good imo.
43. donfem (Posts: 515; Member since: 30 Mar 2011)
Your opinion is not only unsolicited but also, obviously idiotic. Whatever and however you feel about a device does not translate into failure.

i ll pick s5 for sure, coz it has removeable battery

Just so you don't feel unappreciated, your tip came after we already had started working on the story. If we had used your tip, it would have been credited. We do appreciate you taking the time to submit it.

If PA actually read the original article, those who pre-ordered will receive the S5 on April 8, three days before the official launch.

Life Is Hard :( ... it's going to sell 10 times the competition and we can't do anything about it :(

There are very good reasons that Apple and Samsung outsells everyone and it's not marketing. If I had to guess a reason is probably because I have NEVER had an issue or defect on a high end Samsung product and only had ONE issue on a Apple product.
Sony, HTC, and Asus etc. problems and issues all over the place and them using glass or metal or modern looks doesn't change that one bit.
LG is so far 2 flawless vs 1 button rattle but I blame that more on Google than LG.

AND ALSO USING OUTDATED CPU AND FOR A SMARTPHONE WITH ONLY 2GB RAM, BUT 4GB RAM WOULD MULTITASK WITH BREEZE AND NO LAG
25. Arte-8800 (Posts: 3087; Member since: 13 Mar 2014)
A9 cortex is 3 years old that snapdragon is still using, samsung is the only company that uses arm cortex a15 kid
snapdragon had to push the cpu to 2.3ghz to be onpar with A15 1.6ghz are you still living in 2010
a9 cortex is 3years old do you see apple using pvrsgx gpu anymore no they are using rouge gpu and 64bit cpu with arm cortex a15 clocked at 1.3ghz which still is same as a s800 cpu, even intel atomz clocked at only 1.3ghz is onpar with s800 the lenovo k850 phone
50. JMartin22 (Posts: 713; Member since: 30 Apr 2013)
Are you that dumb? I won't even try rebuttling anything you just said with the whole Cortex-A9/A15 architecture stuff with the Snapdragon....
23. Astoni (Posts: 429; Member since: 28 Sep 2013)
I seem to be one of the few to dosent really care if it has 2-4 GB.. It runs Kitkat (less ram Consumption) and it carrys the snapdragon 801 thats above 800 :p, the 600 isn't even outdated yet.. you dence fool. Not trying to defend the s5 here but its pure logic..
33. Arte-8800 (Posts: 3087; Member since: 13 Mar 2014)
kitkat is vanilla with emty os lets add feutres on kitkat like touchwizes add ons, it would lag. do you see ,,,,
a merc amg 65 has every fetures you could think off does the car lag no put a v6 engine instead of a v12 you will see it would struggle to keep up
so in theory more power and torque no matter what you add on the touchwiz it will not lag cause power cpu and ram is on high spec not mid

I'm ready to move on to on screen buttons so the s5 has to be a no for Me
21. twens (Posts: 519; Member since: 25 Feb 2012)
It's funny how when a phone doesn't look sexy or metal premium it means the phone is a failure. I won't be surprised when real world comparison starts. There, people will start realizing Samsung is a force you can't bit. The s5's camera is going to be amongst the best if not the best. It's performance is going to be top notch and it will always have an edge with features. Other Android phones are just like nexus devices. Plain and boring.
29. Leonis (Posts: 334; Member since: 08 Jan 2014)
That thing look nothing impressive at all. Just a waste of money.
36. amenx (Posts: 10; Member since: 14 Mar 2014)
That's one ugly phone.
And WOW, so many fanboys throwing s..t one to another. Funny how stupid people can be.
It's just a phone, ya twats. :D
41. Leonis (Posts: 334; Member since: 08 Jan 2014)
No its not "just a phone". Do you know how important the phone is for millions of people today? Its more than a phone for me. I got so much important contacts and things on my phone I would have a problem if I lost it for a week.
48. JMartin22 (Posts: 713; Member since: 30 Apr 2013)
Yet, the millions of people who buy the phone; that's stationed right next to or near the HTC/Sony phones, clearly disagree with you. People like Apple or Samsung because of the brand image and the look of the device that's associated with the brand. You're just a moron that just rants and whines over the Internet, venting useless dribble of stupidity.
47. amirxd (Posts: 10; Member since: 04 Jan 2014)
I've seen people having samsung with different back covers! If galaxy s5's back cover is changeable, I would buy it and change it's back cover! You gotta admit only problem with the phone is back design!

Actually Sprint is charging $249 before a %50 mail in rebate. Not just US Cellular.
55. garyII (Posts: 160; Member since: 26 Feb 2014)
white colour is always very nice for smartphone, but by the way, Sammy does has the largest amount of set-up when starting the phones, is it due to the large amount of build-in apps like dropbox and something else. Besides, the s5 looks small in the hand of the reviewer....haha
