T-Mobile plans to offer an HSPA+ smartphone before the summer is up
If the real world speeds obtained by HSPA+ enabled USB broadband modems from T-Mobile weren't any indication, HSPA+ is becoming an increasing figure in their arsenal. It's fine and dandy that they're aggressively rolling out HSPA+ to numerous markets of late, but consumers are probably waiting to hear about news regarding an HSPA+ enabled smartphone. Thankfully the good news is out of the bag as T-Mobile announced that they will indeed be bringing aboard an HSPA+ capable smartphone into the market sometime before this sweltering summer is up. They'll undoubtedly bring the heat to the competition once it finally comes to fruition as we know that there are bound to be many eagerly awaiting for the day. In the mean time, we can only guess and speculate to what will be the first smartphone that will embrace the faster data speeds of HSPA+. With summer more than halfway gone, the wait shouldn't be long now before we are presented with something.

hopefuly its some bad ass phone cuz i know i mite probably get thumbs down for saying this but i dnt care .. t-mobile has the crappiest phone selection from all the other carriers let be honest look at at&t's, verizon phone n sprints phone selection they all have better phones than t-mobile lets face its the truth.. i have t-mobile myself and im available for an upgrade already n well im gunna wait until november and if t-mobile doesnt get something good im going to switch to at&t ,verizon or sprint cuz im tired of having a crappy g1 and theres nothing that t-mobile offers right now that cathes my interest, all my friends have good phones on at&t,verizon or sprint one of em has a droid x ,my other friend has an evo 4G n my other friend has an iphone 4 . and they all make fun of me cuz i have a crappy 2 year old g1 ..

if Droid, Evo, and iPhone friends jumped off a bridge, would you jump too? JK.. I'm surprised T-Mobile hasn't received a better Android line-up as of yet.

Nexus 1, Vibrant and Mytouch Slide are all great phones on tmobile. Theres also the HD2 (though its windows). the vibrant/galaxy S is the strongest android phone on the market. ATTs selection consists of the Iphone the captivate/galaxy S and a few of gimped mid range android phones. wow.. great selection there. Sprint has the Evo. VZW has Droid X, incredible, droid 2(soon), and droid which is now old hat. The ONLY one u can actually buy any time soon is the droid though. what selection are you talking about again jacky? Cuz from where im standing, Tmobile actually has a few decent phones. They all do really.

I dunno what t mobile store you have been lookin at but like all these other people that replied to you , the samsung vibrant is I think the sickest android phone out right now next to the evo on sprint. I personally have the mytouch slide and this phone kicks ass too and it completely smoke the g1 I had and my cliq in every way possible so those are 2 good options and also when I was in t mobile the other day the guy I always talk to in there said t mobile is gettin an insane htc android phone around dec that has dual core processors so I would either get the vibrant or wait for that beast.

dont forget that HTC is remaking the Sidekick into a fat ass android device that from early renders looks like an HD2 with a flip keyboard, and its supposed to be high end everything. People that say Tmobile has the weakest lineup never actually look. Its easy to hate, hard to appreciate.

@jacky_luvsjrod - damn homie G1? I thought t-Mobile had more android options than that? Didn't Samsung just release a Android superphone to all 4 major US carriers?

Samsung Vibrant is a brilliant and nice phone imo from T-Mobile. I think it kicks EVO's ass as shown from benchmarks. It is also one of the best GPU power in smartphones.
