If you didn't see anything worth being excited about, why even comment? Personally I am overjoyed at these news, because I have been watching this phone for a couple of months...I CAN'T WAIT FOR OCTOBER 12.....(i hope t-mobile doesn't pull an at&t move by saying one date and postponing it)

except for the galaxy note, which has zero release dates in the US any time before 2012, the SGS2 and Amaze have better specs in nearly every way than the iphone 5, N9, or sea ray.
what exactly excites you about those phones except each on is sporting a different OS?

Seems like PA missed one detail from the Amaze that's newsworthy. T-Mo's first phone capable of 42Mbps though their HSPA+ network.

Both the Amaze and the Galaxy S II are enabled for the 42Mbps. The processor change in the GSII was specifically for compatibility with the 42Mbps HSPA+.

Sorry I missed that - the other article i read about them didn't mention the 42mbps on the Galaxy S II. Either way, they should have mentioned it here for these phones.

since the SGS2 will sell better ( all i hear about is when its coming out), im going to have to say the SGS2 is the first phone with 42mb/s it was also announced before the amaze.. so its kinda like twins, they came out on the same day, but the SGS2 popped out first, so its the "older" one.. lol

Samsung cannot produce enough EXYNOS and Super AMOLED plus for themselves, may be it is a complicated processes or small factory. No more Samsung components for rotten Apple is good for Samsung to produce more phones and compete with other phone makers.

Does the HTC Amaze have a additional microphone for Noise cancellation??like one the Nexus One

Both look like really good phones. I'd have a hard time deciding which one to go to, but I don't remember a T-Mobile ever being that pricey on 2-yr contract.

Ya im having a really hard time in which one i want. I love the look of the HTC Amaze but I love the screen from the Samsung galaxy 2. I might just have to flip a coin and see which one ill get if i cant decide. They both will be pretty awesome. I wish i could have both use each phone every other day.

Amaze looks so much better, but the Galaxy S 2 have the Super AMOLED Plus screen.....I hate the HTC Sense UI... but..seriously the official Galaxy S 2 picture looks like the MyTouch 4G... FML.
WHY T-MOBILE IS NOT GETTING THE IPHONE 5!

Lol, I probably got the thumb down because of the part of iPhone

It still has an awesome SAMOLED plus display, and Touchwiz doesn't require a lot of power to run so I think its ok.

They have the EXACT same specs except for the screen. So basicly it comes down to if you prefer HTC or Samsung. I've never had an HTC phone but I know they usually have terrible battery life but they're one of the best when it comes to updating their phones and Samsung is the worst. I'm still sporting a Samsung Captivate (Galaxy S 1) that's still waiting to be updated to 2.3. Samsung, on the other hand, has good battery life.

Where's SPRINT's version of the HTC amaze or vigor or ruby, etc.? Galaxy s2 is several months old and obsolete, pathetic grainy ppi resolution, slow processor, samsung's own commercial says to buy only the BEST, #1, so they're telling everyone not to buy the galaxy s2 but to buy the new HTC phones with superior screen, interface, technology, etc.
What's Samsung and Sprint been doing for the last 6 months?? Are they going to be as slow as Apple now and come out with a phone worth buying no more often than every 1-2 years?? I thought Samsung was supposed to have hundreds of phones, always pushing the envelope, and they get lapped by HTC and Motorola of all companies and soon buried by Apple? Hope Samsung and Sprint enjoyed that 1 week they had to sell their ancient outdated galaxy s2, because ATT, Verizon, Tmobile, ALL OTHERS, have MULTIPLE superior galaxy s2 killers coming within the next few weeks from HTC, Moto, Apple, and others, while SPRINT and Samsung has ZIP, NOTHING, not even any wild rumors, nothing, pathetic!
