As expected, T-Mobile has announced that it will launch the myTouch 4G Slide on July 27th and pre-orders will be accepted starting online only beginning July 19th; Sprint is selling the device at a subsidized price of $199.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate...

pretty nice specs.. wish i had the .2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor on my mytouch 4g
i wonder if there will be an update to the mytouch 4g?

Unlikely, for a hardware update at least. The next generation would be more likely to expect something similar to this. It is also unlikely that you may even see another generation MyTouch phone seeing as the At&T-Mobile Merger is expected to close as early as March 2012. I hope that the company created after the merger continues T-Mobiles history of taking risks on hardware and software. It is in part thanks to that culture that Android is where it stands today.
