They have to start cheap because they really have no other choice for a way to compete at this point... hopefully that improves in the future for them. However, it is generally true that you get what you pay for...

Don't mind starting cheap but start it at ATT or Verizon. Tmo already shafted their WP customers not having true upgrade to HD7.

I'll settle for a better quality radar for $50 more but stay with my hd7 until tmo can offer something better than the 710.

this is a great starter smart phone for People who want to go up from a plan cell phone
and you change the color of the back of this phone to make it look better or match what you are wearing. The black body with a blue or racer yellow is cool looking. a white body with a pink back is cool for girls

You don't have iPhones on T-Mobile, so Windows Phone is the obvious choice as their are no real contenders.

Good starter phone but T-Mobile definatly need a v2 (i.e released after Mango) Windows Phone with more than 8GB memory and > 3.7" screen. This and the HTC Radar will compete nicely though but a Lumia 800/900/HTC Titan like device will be needed for those who want to move up in the Windows Phone world.
