Well atleast the iPhone on any carrier doesn't have bloatware apps or huge logos and get timely updates. Why isn't that the case for any olther device?

Yes you are right that Apple has VERY strict control on what software is on the device as well as carrier branding. The iPhone only seems to get timely updates because they are able to do all the updates for the GSM verison first because its a more universal standard and then they do the CDMA/LTE variants as the carriers have it locked down. Usually its a difference of a few months between all the updates but once complete there realeased at the same time. Not to mention its easy to do updates when you sell only device.

Hmm. LTE + HSPA+ 42 on an iPhone? T-Mobile customers sure are going to be happy. I expect them to run out of stock on Friday, April 12.

Especially with the new pricing, AT&T is going to lose subscribers by the end of the year.

The phone that T-Mobile swore it didn't need is now finally available on the carrier. Congrats.

So it's this iPhone 5 special make for tmobile that works with their 3G/3G+ freq? Or is it just a AT&T iPhone 5?

Please update the article to reflect that it's $20 a month for 24 months. Under the new Value Plans at T-Mobile, the EIPs go for 24 months not 20 like the old ones did.

I bought an unlocked iPhone 5 at Apple Store, and can anyone tell me (or make a good guess) if it will be identical to the one t_Mobile will offer? Many thanks!

oh common, im not an apple fan..i only have one iphone and the rest were motorola htc and samsung phones but sometimes we just want a simple phone to music and text/calls

i mean its bad for apple fans too, but android fans have to admit that you get the phone that best suits you, for me its the iphone 4 since i dont use much data just music and texts some people want the galaxy s4, but at the end we all want the best for us.

apple fans and droid fans arre both doing wrong at hating at each other, personally i like iphone altho sometimes i miss the big screen from my s2, but it wassnt suit to me, what can we do?

People buy an iPhone cause it works. Even my Mom can understand her iPhone 5. The Average person wants an iPhone cause it darn easy to use( Not to mention Optimized Apps and alot of Accessories). I use a Nexus 4 cause I like customization. But one thing I want is for Google to tell Devs to Optimize apps for specific devices.. My Nexus 4 can stutter in many apps sometimes. (Good Phone though!)

You guys are retarded, it isnt "on contract" t-mobile doesn't do 2 year or even one year commitments. They do offer device financing, which according to your article is 99 down and 20 for 20 months, which is a full retail price of 499.00 which i'm assuming is for the 16GB model. You need to do more research before posting articles, you look like a bunch of GED journalists.

You're right, except they f*cked up. It's 24 months for a full retail price of $579.

Umm... Without a contract, how do will they keep people from buying iPhones cheap and taking them somewhere else or selling them...no contract, no ETF. I could buy it for a hundred, and sell it to some idiot in Europe for 300. Are there consequences here? How will they make me keep paying if I am not obligated by a contract?

First they will mess up ure credit and then they will lock/block the phone from being used. They will unblock it once it's paid off.:)
