Has anyone else tried updating their G2X to gingerbread? I just want some feedback because I'm unsure about using the LG Forum's update, since I've been reading that that update has bricked people's phones.

Just ordered this phone since it was free. Going to give it a try now that GB is on it. Hopefully it will be shipped to me with GB already installed.

Well my roomate and i have the same phone he did the lg update and i went and did cyanogen mod 7. All i have to say is that i had 30% battery life after 13 1/2 hours of regurlar to moderate use and the phone is unstoppable. Its so fast i cant even describe it. When i was still on froyo and only rooted and and removed bloatware it got really fast but now this is something that i cant even describe, whatever you throw at it doesnt slow down its just lightning fast. I got 3300 on benchamark and its not even overclocked lol. I honestly feel as if i have the fastest phone out in the market now. get gingerbread if you dont feel comfortable modding your phone if you do i promise it will deff pay off and its really not that hard to do. btw no worries on bricking the phone if done properly because you can always go into recovery and put the thing stock in matter of minutes. enjoy :)
