T-Mobile G2x Android 2.3 Gingerbread update less than a month away, says LG forum moderator

To alleviate the pains that your brand spanking new dual-core T-Mobile G2x is still rocking Froyo, a moderator in the LG forums, under the moniker SmartPhoneGeek, is saying it won't be long until Android Gingerbread arrives.
The nickname is certainly trustworthy, while the exact citation is "I think "months" is an exaggeration...I'd be really surprised if it was more than a month out.", and the post is from Wednesday.
We heard yesterday that some warranty replacements have been put on hold for the T-Mobile G2x in anticipation of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update, while the LG Girl tweeted two weeks ago that we will soon be hearing news on the update, so we are inclined to believe it's a month, rather than months away.
The Gingerbread update for the T-Mobile G2x has already appeared in action on video, which again confirms it can't be far off in the future.

called t-mobile yesterday and i was told that even though i dont have a working G2X, the update is close enough so they wont send me a replacement. im on my third unit

You know what...This update was supposed to happen a month ago...2 months ago...Its said that these issues with the G2x has hindered not only its performance,but its reputation

Hang in there guys, I think this phone is magnificent once you get the gingerbread your phone shall shine. I have mine rooted with bloatware removed and its a monster I can't imagine how it will be when I get gingerbread. If you have any questions please ask away
