all new phones that comes out by then, will have similar specs and features to the sony Honami, so it's really nothing special.

I'm just looking forward to the note 3, i need a phablet.

telling the truth means i hate sony, and you being in denial means your not a fanboy?

I'm bringing up previous model because other companies always made similar or better products at the time when sony made a flagship phone, and here you are telling us that other companies are playing catchup even though the honami, LG G2, note 3, HTC T6 or even the nokia eos is not out yet.

You already know the future hey? lol

what a frikkin phabket has to do with this topic? You probably took me for a samsung fan. No, I´m not and I don´t need a phablet. What do you mean by this exclusivity? Isn´t it obvious? Their tech so they will use it exclusively to differ themselves. At the same time it doesn´t mean they will have an upper hand.

with exclusivity on camera sensor and other tech Honami will have the upper hand
Just like Nokia with Zeiss lens.

don´t be silly. I don´t have time to spare it on multiplying my accounts. What´s more I only resplnse to my interlocutor comments without wasting attention on keeping an eye on your discussion with sb else.
Getting to the point. They may have a unique hardware and are not willing to share it with the others BUT remember that they had it in the past. They sod their exmor sensor almost everyone, but what´s funny, their own creation came up with worse results than competion.
Having an upper hand means creating a brand which is based on quality. It takes time. Nokia already has it thanks to cooperation with (CARL) ZEISS. G-lens or whatever they call it doesn´t have the same traction and if sony fails to deliver...rough times ahead of them. I don´t say the won´t or are not able...but it´s not instantenous.

if you talking about old Sony mobile yes i agree with they sucks, but do you know something about “ONE SONY” Strategy??

The camera sensor in Honami is developed based on RX100 Camera and Sony will not sell it at least for 1 or 2 years, the camera software also taking care by Sony camera division so the quality will be great.
G lens is on par with Zeiss just google it if you not believe me.
Triluminos display.
Walkman audio chip and other great tech.

all sony division working together to make great product that is one sony strategy

look. They should work united already so it´s nothing new. Different department under one umbrella and with the same goals. That´s how every company should work. Why boasting about it?
I´m not saying it won´t be a good phone but given their fails I´m more sceptical than you. Exmor r or bravia engine were to be as great as this triluminos display or new sensors and optics and we all know that it didn´t live up to the hype created. Haven´t you noticed yet that it´s repetetive? Each time sony announces sth it is already superb but when it hit the shelves it turns out that it´s nothing really special. Cramming tech from point and shoot camera into a smaller chassis may bring about a calamity. G lens may be great but it doesn´t mean the implementation will be as good as in normal cameras.
Hold your horses. I´ve got my opinion, you´ve got yours.
I don´t agree with yours but I would defend your right to express them. Does it ring any bell to you?

Relax you can say anything what you want but you know what according to insider this is the first time Sony mobile/SE getting help from all departement. in the past the situation is different for example sony mobile can use sony camera technology but the camera division will not help them with the software.

Exmor, and bravia didn't live up the hype because Sony mobile is suck on the software

Sony TV has prove it that triluminos can live up the hype and RX100 is one of the best compact camera so thats why i'm positive about this

what i'm trying to say is Sony more than capable to make all those specs into reality.
i know this is just a rumours but i think they wiil make it happen because it's the only way they can compete with Samsung

as I don't like android I do hope sony will be able someday to grab some pie from samsung. I hate one sided supremacy.
What you're saying is probably true but it sounds so ridicolous...they didn't want to cooperate to deliver.
Maybe this time they will do sth by mutual consent.

yeah it sounds so ridicolous, but everything has change now.
in the past the biggest problem with sony is outdated hardware and update but with Xperia ZU and 4.2 jelly bean update the problem has been solved, they also have fix the camera software on xperia z you can check this if you want to know about it.

Surely its too early to predict anything from future. but we are used to of seeing surprises from sony and used to of boring same 2010 design from samsung so the Honami vs Note 3 comparison is really one sided already just because of each company practice of business.

People who are excited about Sony next phone is because its reasonable size, powerful system, screen quality, and best of all cameras. (Nokia EOS would be better but its not running android so mehh)

samsung may win agaun due o their huge marketing and the BRAND they created (galaxy/note). It´s recognizable and people tend to buy what´s known and safe. Sony has been struggling even though they made quite good devices.
I would argue with this reasonabke size and best cameras (z failed a bit it these areas).

another wortless sony fanboy. You keep saying that since sony experia arc. Everytime sonny is about to announce their new products, you yell about it as if it was something groudbreaking. Where's your z?
Where are yur arcs??
It's great on paper but live has shown many times that it sony's promises stay good only on paper. In reality, they pale in comparison to the competition.
I wish Sony the best but I doubt they'll do something outstanding and, as almost always, since cybershot series, this device will not be able to hold a candle to EOS. It's not a fan-talking-trash. Just look at se or sony history and analize their mistakes and failures.
4K is useless. Think about the space it would require and where would you watch it?
I'd like to also remind you that the first phone recording 720p, Omnia HD, was a far cry from later 720p-anabled phones so don't expect miracles.
From a tech-fan point of view, I'm elated about new quality, Nokia is pushing the camera envelope all the time, but staying more down-to-earth I'm off the opinion that sony should focus on improving their existing camera modules to deliver a gorgeous 1080p.

Really? I don't see anyone getting skeptical about the quality they'd get from such a (relatively) small sensor. 4K is good, but for the said sensor size, I doubt the quality will be as good. Not to mention the massive size of the files. Also, if the earlier leak was true, I don't see a hump, which can mean a)the sensor is made up of some material which reduces sensor size while giving great shots under which condition, 4K video may turn out decent or b) its just another case of too many megapixels and too high a resolution to record on a phone aka gimmick.

The specs of this beast look impossible to surpass for the moment. My only question is the price; the Z costs already roughly as much as an iPhone and a GS4. This could end up being considerably more expensive, I guess it could end up being the most expensive mainstream smartphone in the world. All this tech and premium materials won't come cheap, that's for sure.

I don't care what the specs are, just give me a competitive price point (which SONY isn't notoriously famous for)

That sounded like an empty critisism. Do you expect all this tech to be given for free? This phone will pack clearly more tech and more premium material finish than a GS4. It will also be more expensive, this is no brainer.

Things may change if they start seeing bad results because of these old configs. New chipsets not only excel in processing speed, but also in connectivity, video decodingm encoding and much more. They should start using latest crop in the SoC industry.

invalid argument. Look at what Nokia achieved with old arm 11 and broadcomm chip. N8 and 808 are the best photo devices out there and they don´t need the newest chipsets. So....no. Powerful chipsets don´t guarantee the better results if you don´t know what and how to do.

The real problem is WP, it's not Nokia because they have follow the limitations of WP to make theire phones. An the funny part is that whereas on N8 and 808 they could use external DSP to process image/video, on WP this is not possible so they must use old chipset... And only old chipset.

so...Nokia is going to either use some different or extra-added hardware, such as stanc-alone gpu to push eos capabilities to maximum or use some other chipset instead of s4. I strongly agree that wp is the wall against which Nokia is standing, making impossible to develop Finn´s ideas the way the should be.

sony wants to promote their 4k tvs. if it does not work then fine. it's not like you'll be compelled to record in 4k.

i think 720p is good enough. they should just include a slow mo capture feature and improve on their image quality.

still, with a 20MP sensor, it should already produce images with better details than the galaxies, gs, ones, and lumias. they should just downsample the photos to 12MP or even 8MP to produce better images. full res sony photos are almost always inferior. downsampling should address that.

sony broke its habit of being the one to play catch up by skipping the snapdragon 600. now, it's samsung, htc, and LG that will be catching up with the release of their s800 devices.

for starters. it´s not a hamster. Look closer, pal.
Secondly. Thatś the first time sony announced sth on par with the rest. I said they´ve been lagging behind so far. Learn how to read properly and get the point.
I´m not a sony hater. I remember the time when Nokia and se wre rulling the market and when younwanted to buy a phone, you choose one of them. I wish sony best but they´ve been lost for a couple of years and since they jumped the android wagon they´ve been trying to catch up.
I never said honami doesn´t exist. I said it probably doesn´t exist in a shape rumors described it. And calling it a groundbreaking eos-smashing undisputed king of android is a massive is a fanboism. There´s nothing certain and official, yet fanboys already claim it smashes everything else. Sony, unfortunatelly, failed to deliver many times so I have a right to be a bit sceptical.
