What better place than the WWDC to try to recruit some iPhone developers to join your team. Symbian offered prizes, food, drinks and a free Nokia 5800 handset to those who were willing to attend an all-day Symbian Hackathon. The problem for Symbian is that their seminar had to compete with the opening day of Apple's annual WWDC. That meant that the schedule included the keynote speech and the announcement of a new iPhone. Still, a free Nokia 5800 is a free Nokia 5800. It's obviously a tough life for these guys.

Finally I see the Symbian Foundation getting serious about recruiting developers to their camp! Great Initiative Guys!
