Symbian Belle to rollout next year for selected Nokia smartphones
Nokia has announced that the Symbian Belle OS will rollout globally to specific Nokia phones sometime early next year. The models that will receive the update include the Nokia N8, E7, X7, C6-01, C7, Oro, E6, and Nokia 500. Currently, the software comes pre-installed on the Nokia 701, 700 and 603 models.

All Things Symbian has a theory that new models of the Nokia N8 and C7 are probably rolling off the assembly line with Symbian Belle pre-installed. Updates to existing models take longer because the new OS has to be checked to make sure it doesn't affect user data. But once the launch is concluded, millions of Nokia phones will feel brand new with Symbian Belle running the show.

Symbian Belle brings more customization to Nokia with 5 different sizes of widgets that you can use on your six home pages. A pull-down notification bar ala Android is one of the features of the new OS, which offers NFC support. Using the latter, users can enjoy quick sharing of pictures as well as  other NFC features such as getting data off posters and signs and reading location tags. Symbian Belle also features toggle buttons which allows you to change settings. Multitasking is improved allowing you to view images of open apps and a new lock screen has been created.
