Its true, I miss quite few of android features that I had on my HTC ONE X. On the other hand I am more than happy without those cool features than having a simple, super smooth OS that has the best ecosystem. Thank god for choices.

Exactly! I chose to own an ip5, and note 2, but could never be without my iPhone. It's my go to device, and a lot of that's due to the vast ecosystem.

Everyone but 3GS and iPad 1 users. Apple was still selling the 3GS about a year ago and many people still have 1st gen iPads. If 95% of apps require iOS 7 then I better sale my first gen iPad quick.

The 3Gs is over 4 years old. The iPad 1 is over three, and it's a first-gen device. Name another smartphone that received factory OS updates after two years.

3GS isn't getting the full release of iOS 6. Siri for example. I doubt 3 GS will get anything of iOS 7.

It was over 3 years old when iOS6 came out. The SGSII is only a little over two, and it is the longest updated Android device.

The debate that is going on up around post 16 & 20 is more about resource requirements of iOS 7 compared to Android. Up to iOS v. 6, things could be stripped out (or disabled, like Siri) to enable iOS to run on earlier gen iToys. I believe those days are over with iOS v. 7. I could be mistaken; we will see in a few months.

Siri was never enabled because of hardware, just like Google Now on older devices that didn't get ICS.

Why would a company need to catch up to a mobile OS?
