0. phoneArena 22 Feb 2013, 12:02 posted on

A study done by FixYa, a community based online tech support site, shows that the Apple iPhone is the most reliable smartphone on the market based on a scoring system; Apple score showed the iPhone to be 300% more reliable than handsets produced by Korean based Samsung and 2500% more reliable than the phones produced by Motorola...

This so hard. Had one particularly retarded ifan bring back an iphone I sold her a week ago because it was "broken". The issue?
"Like, it says "slide to unlock, but what does that MEAN? i slide my hand across it and like it wont like unlock, like yknow?"

Yes, this moron had her phone locked for a week.

Shhhhhhhh stop fibbing. You're a typical crybaby android fan saying anything you can to bash the iPhone, and discredit this article. I have one word for you... Shutthehellup.

@lolioslol - its not much diff. than an android customer confused about the weather app on his Droid X and expecting me once he pressed the app and it took him to Accuweather's WEBSITE...he expected me to fix an issue that he was having on the website. I had to tell him "sir, i can't fix the website...its a website we can't fix Accuweather's website" & he left angry at me thinking it was our fault.

Stupidity resides in both camps...

This is one of those psycho-booster-type articles (or at least the so called study) - a wanna be, a revitaliser for a troublesome company, a pitiful distraction if you want.
300%, 500% more reliable!!!???. Even if you landed from space only minutes ago, these numbers are laughable and can only be taken with awe - as in W.T.F?
But, hey, maybe Apple truly can be the most reliable phone: after all what can really go wrong within a fully closed, stiff and rigid software environment (other than getting jail-broken upon release), plus the phone only comes with one button - in other words, following the rules of technical reliability, the more simple, the more reliable. Here you are! (If you read this on an iPhone and didn’t get it, the last paragraph was a joke!)

Ugh, Phone Arena, please correct the statement, "Study shows Apple iPhone to be 300% more reliable than Samsung models," and no, I couldn't care less about the iPhone or Samsung or whatever.

110 is not 110% MORE THAN 100, it is 10 MORE THAN 100 or 10% MORE THAN 100.

3.47 is not 300% MORE THAN 1.21, it is 2.26 MORE THAN 1.21, or ~187% MORE THAN 1.21, so if you really want to average, say 200% MORE THAN Samsung.

I'm sure nobody cares about these "details," but for god's sake, if being 100 percentage points off doesn't matter at a techie site, why are we even bothering to throw around numbers and fake statistics?

How is 25.86% figured to be 300% more than 22.69%?

Who does FixYa's math???

Most of the things listed as problems are BS...Bloatware? Battery Life? Lack of new features? Poor app ecosystem?

I call BS on FixYa!

Anyone else happen to notice that 30% of Motorola's "problems" were related to bloatware? Get rid of all of those numbers (which I'm sure Google aims to do), and Moto is a solid #2 with just 95k reported issues.

Yep, that is why my moto phone has no bloatware...I would be happier if the boot loader was unlocked, too.

I have an iPhone 5. No problems except for a little bit of problems with battery life. But it was just like my Galaxy Note. My Motorola atrix on the other hand?!? Ha! I'm not a fan boy. I love androids and I love my iPhone. I just love great technology. :)

So reliable that you are warned not to use their mapping software? I'll stick with this Note 2 thing til I see what Nokia brings to MWC.

I really don't care about the study. It's just hilarious to see the droiders scramble to come up with rebuttals, creative apples disses, and remarks to discredit the article. If Samsung had won it'd be orgasmic bliss rite now...too funny. And they have the nerve to call iOS/apple users the S word. Hmmmmmm

well i believe the article but cant imagine margin is only 300% & 500% vs samsung & nokia where both have hundreds of smartphones...your the one not thinking about what the results truly means

well i already expected apple topping this but ONLY 300% & 500% reliable compare to samsung & nokia where both this company has hundreds of smarphones compare to how many of apple...clearly shows how UNRELIABLE apple is per model of smarphone they manufacture
